Cried over almost 8k profit?
Could u have made that in lagos today? And if your car doesn't gulp fuel, you should be having about 2k worth of fuel after arriving lagos from the 5500 fuel you bought to and fro.

Chief, u won't blame the car o. The distance I covered too is equivalent. Came into Lagos through Ojota, then had to start another journey heading towards Adamo area of ikorodu. You can visualize my pain abi?

Which advice does he want? If he's sure of the claim about her father and the girl, not everyone that offers to help is a ritualist.

From the story, 50k salary is obviously better than what he earns on ehailing in this period. I seriously dont understand what he needs advice for. Is he afraid of working with the girl because her father is rich?
He can always go back to ehailing if he fails with the lady. He never can tell what future has for him working with the lady.

In everything, he should just be careful and always be cautious.

Hold your money this period of corona. Na story go end am. Many Drivers are struggling to deliver 15-20k weekly.
For HP;
Will you be okay to invest millions on a car and get 15-20k weekly on ur investment? Bear in mind that the driver might fail to remit in some weeks due to one issue or the other with the car couple slow market.

For Leasing/Rental;
You Will be responsible for repairs on the car. Are you cool with 15-20k weekly pay while you will still be responsible for repairs? Can your income on that car be enough when major repairs stare at you on the face?

Keep your money and stay away from ehailing business this period until all commercial activities fully return, unless you're cool with 15-20k. The job majorly favours car owners this period.

Good luck

I have uploaded all required documents and they have been approved.

But I can't still go online to drive as my profile is still reading on-boarding.

What can I do?

On Uber, I give riders nice rating cool but on bolt I give 1 or 2 star.

From what the guy said It doesn't mean they will give you 5 star, but in case a rider gives you a bad rating, the fall in rating won't be bad grin

To be honest with you, I don't know if the above works oooh undecided but I know a couple of riders who gave me 5 star cool

Bro I wanted to pick up people on the road o but something happened. I parked to pick up 3 elderly men who flagged me that they were going to Lagos. Turned out those guys were their union leaders who were agitated that private cars should stop picking people. they almost held me bound sef. Until I told them i am a Health worker with my Covid pass . I later gave them 200naira to buy gin

they started giving advice on how people picked up armed robbers on the road. I should be careful bla bla bla . I just vex blow my off comot jare. to avoid stories that touch
Boss, please be careful with Ibadan union next time. Those guys are very mean. It's better to blow empty than those guys catching you. Sometimes, they go to an extent of giving you hot chase with their vehicle.

That's the problem with bolt, anyway since I started dishing out 1 star to riders, I haven't experienced any sharp drop in rating grin

Who else notices that taxi scam no longer add toll fee at the end of the trip even after they might have said your toll fee is included. The two receipts attached below are my evidences the first one I passed through Lekki epe toll, while the second was through Ikoyi link even the fare self no correct, between Uber don mad self I took a woman too and fro from Vi to Agungi and back but they only included one toll fee their reply make me laugh. Na make God just save person from this slavery
It is what It is. I've warn us about using the ikoyi link bridge b4 and how using the etag or any of the toll gates don't count, reason I stopped using that link bridge and using my tag as well because you won't be issued a receipt.

Dont be disappointed with the response from uber it's a normal thing and due process to take.

You don't expect your office to pay for any expenses that has no receipt.

Another thing is, the lekki-epe toll gate charges N230 or there about while the Ikoyi link toll charges N335 or so where as the rider pays N200 and N300 respectively. Meaning you're looking 2-3 toll pass in every N5000 recharge you do.

What then is the need for using an etag or ecard when one is paying commission from his pocket.

Nigeria is governed by i*dio*ts. They want to go cashless by introducing etag but they are charging etag users more than cash? How does this encourage etag adoption?

Who again is getting frustrated about this uber covid 19 snap ur self every morning. Sometimes I couldn’t go online cos no light and can’t snap very early in d morning. Bolt is taking over the market, Uber should do d needful and stop all this snap ur self every day rubbish. Reduce percentage, give promo. Allow destination trip any time. After all u have just 2 slots just like bolt. Try to take back d market not useless things that’s doesn’t adding up

Men, my spirit is already weak with all the feedbacks I have received so far...
What if I return the car and he decides not to buy the lower model 06? Remember he bought this one himself, besides, once I resume at my office, I will repay with my salary for as long as I can! But from all the feedbacks, I now understand 2010 model is just not for ehailing business at least in Lagos.
The truth a bitter pile to swallow.

You can give it a try to have your own experience tho.

From where I come from the elders use to say, " advice na stranger"

The ball is at you court.

All i can say is good luck on what ever decision you arrive at.

To my own understanding, Lekki-Epe toll is N200 normally, but N180 when using the e-tag while Ikoyi link bridge is N300. Or are there some hidden charges I don't know about?

So I staryed my day off at MM2 airport as directed by uber, paid toll #200 and parking #750. While waiting, a trip came in, I accepted, Rider said she is in Abuja but she is requesting for her business partner who is on his was to Lagos.

She asked if Uber goes to Ibadan. I said yes. I thought of it, doing an online trip won't pay me. So I negotiated offline and later agreed 15k. I waited for another hour before my rider's flight arrived. Unfortunately I was at the wrong place. Had to drive back to MM1 domestic wing and kept going round in circle so as to avoid those guys that toll vehicles. I eventually opted to use their car park #400 (so I can better search for my rider). I eventually found him 6secs after parking.

Spent 3k fueling my car on my way to Ibadan. I had to fuel 2k on my way back to Lagos (blew empty).

Now let's do the math.

750+200+200+400+3000+2,500 = #7,050

15,000 - 7,050=# 7,950

I cried when I did this calculation. I suffered today sha.

Lagos to Ibadan should be 25-30k if you want to go that route. I obliged someone's offline request for the very first time two weeks ago. Lekki to Mushin and back. Bill was 14k

Hmmmm. Only 20-15k is realistic this period. I will advise anyone putting his car into this biz in this period as a form of investment to hold on unless you're helping your driver out with that car just to earn a living

I keep wondering how you think its ok for a driver to rent @15k or 20k when social gatherings, religious, schools, senior government workers, Int'A and most offices are still under locks and keys with some going into extinction.

Most importantly, drivers have restricted time to work which is from 6am to 9pm. Dont believe that 4am to 10pm scam, I'm yet to c a driver that goes online everyday at 4am.

Guy have you been driving these period? Have you seen the traffic situation in lagos lately? How many Long distance trip can a driver do in a do?
The other Saturday I did just 1 trip because of traffic, from Agege to Gbagada the trip ended N7+ I spent over 2k on fuel.

Do I need to remind you that uber is charging drivers 25% flat rate? With no incentives and no promotion??

I'm sure you're also aware drivers are responsible for hazard fee like lasma, police, touts, soldier and "my car" while most drivers share repairs and services is on them, part from some of us that are fortunate to have owners partners that does everything 100%

My last week total earning was around N30k to 37k as i was buying fuel I was demanding for receipt to keep tract of my fuel spending and at the end of last week I notice I spent a total sum of 14k on fuel. Lets assume no hazard payment and I'm renting at 15k or 20k how much would be left for me, my wife and kids.

Guy, abeg stop it oh!!! 20k ke
