The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has made more clarifications on who should pay the biblical tithe.The dictionary defines tithe as the one-tenth part of something, paid as a contribution to a religious organization or compulsory tax to government.Nowadays, people like to call it 10% of someone's income that must be paid to churches.




The payment of tithes has been generating discussions among Christians and other believers from time immemorial.There are some who believe the payment of tithes is not compulsory or mandatory.This category of people tend to attack pastors who lay emphasis on the payment of tithe in their churches.They said tithe was an old thing and no longer in practice.But, Adeboye, during today's Sunday service clarified that payment of tithe is compulsory for all Christians.





He said some people have tagged the message in Malachi 3:8-11 as a law for the Seeds of Abraham.Adeboye agreed, saying there is no doubt about that.However, he clarified that all Christians are the seeds of Abraham, according to Galatians 3:13-14. Galatians 3:13-14[13]Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:[14] That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.Adeboye said if the law to pay tithe in Malachi chapter 3 is from the children of Abraham, and Galatians 3:13-14 has established that all Christians are the children of Abraham, then all Christians must pay tithe.He recalled how Jacob flourished when he fulfilled his promise to pay tithe in Genesis 28:10-22; saying Moses was not born when Jacob made a vow to pay tithe.The man of God told a story of a man who has even decided to surrender 90% of his earnings to God as the Senior Partner in his business and all endeavours.




He said he would not have said much about the topic to outsiders, but to his ‘children' alone. He said many may not understand the message.

The have the right to sing that song without paying your GOs wicked tithe because God does not charge tithe for the blessings He made available to them through Jesus Christ. All God continues to ask for is Obedience to actual commandments He has given them, not commandments manufactured by your GOs and other men.

I wonder if people read their Bible at all. God blessed Abraham for believing in Him and obeying Him, not for any tithe. Except you can show me a scripture that supports that. I'm not surprised though. One of your papas said Job lost all because he wasn't paying tithes. SMH.

That is exactly another issue I have with religion. A separation, of even the slightest kind, from the original does not amount to the original.

Did he pay from his substance? You said he was blessed because of the tithes. Show the proof of that in the scriptures. So Abraham had 2 wives, so "Abraham's blessings are mine" should include having two wives, right? SMH.
