The Minister overseeing the affairs of the Niger-Delta region, Senator Godswill Akpabio yesterday while he was been probed by the National Assembly members along with the acting managing director of the ministry, Professor Pondei Kenebradikumo, revealed that the Niger-Delta ministry should not be scrapped, because if the Federal Government should close it down, things will not go on well in the region and also, militancy in the region will come back at full force.

The minister also exposing some National Assembly members, as he didn't mention their names said, members of the National Assembly are the ones who do benefit the most, as most contracts NDDC do issue out is been awarded to them.

After the questioning yesterday from the members of NASS, minister Godswill Akpabio on his official Twitter handle made it known that he has call on all stakeholders of the Niger-Delta Development Commission to join hands together and put the NDDC in the right place so that the people can benefit from the agency.

He further said, the forensic audit is not a witch hunt but a step to a great Niger-Delta.
