So sad to see Julius Berger demolish the Obosi flyover just to build their own flyover at the same spot. Why didn't they shift a little and build their own?

In America, flyovers built in 1950s are still there and they simply add new flyovers at a slightly different spot to help ease traffic. Must everyone be forced into one flyover all the time? Soon the same flyover will always be congested like Lagos flyovers due to traffic.

This is just sad to see them demolish a whole flyover in a country and a region with insufficient road network and flyovers.

calm down, that flyover was never good,it wasn't high like that, in fact we are happy that the flyover is being destroyed in order to elect a massive and beautiful one.

I can see from the picture that the flyover is just too low. A double decker bus will not get past it

They should build the runway and airport terminal simultaneously

Somalianprunce, you actually believe Anambra airport will be the largest airport in the world, larger than anything in China. You believe that it will attract more than half of Nigeria’s population. Where will these people stay, which hotels, in that small state, which road is being built, railway, you would need so much infrastructure to even support that many people. Let me even leave you to believe it, when it is abandoned or of a very low standard and is bringing in 500 000 people per year, come and tell me the same shit, I will be laughing in your face.
talk like someone wit sense na

Good day my people...

I am pleased to see improvments in the Anambra Airport God willing it will be wholly achieved.

Also we know Ebonyi state has equally the same plight and has thus far graded their runways remaing ashphalting.

I am glad that soon all South East will be Airborne while we wait for seaport.

It will be interesting to see, between Anambra and Ebonyi, which state finishes theirs first! Healthy competition...that’s what we want to see!

I'm not from Anambra but please let us know the reason why they don't deserve to have an airport?.
There is asaba just across the bridge.. There is owerri and Enugu close by.. Also you know anambra is erosion ravaged, so how will it be if after construction and erosion washes it away.. Then again, Anambra has more pressing needs, for instance anambra fathers rape their daughters, it should be sorted out first, the other day we heard about a wife who bought coffin as a gift for her husband in Anambra.. This and many more why anambra doesn't deserve an airport lipsrsealed

Anambra has a slight lead in that they’ve gone far on the runway, control tower and foundation of the passenger terminal! But don’t forget who they’re up against.....Umahis’ Ebonyi! Write them (Ebonyi) off at your own peril!

So i think it’s too early to call for now! We’d have a much clearer picture as to who’s in the lead by ending of this year! smiley

Clearer view of Anambra international airport runway. They are working on the stone base of the runway. The runway is 3.6km, and can accommodate jumbo jets and wide body aircrafts. It is only the international airports in Lagos and Abuja that have such length of the runway.

Gradually taking shape, before the end of the year we will start seeing clear pictures of the airport, also remember KANUBEEN is constructing dual-carriage from Enugu/Onitsha by expressway to the airport site, they have gone far, to God be the glory.

Anyone know what they do with all that earth they're removing while doing the groundworks? I hope they're using it to remedy other sites where they have erosion challenges.

Great. Anambra is moving forward. For the first time SE will have a standard airport with the longest runway to accommodate biggest aircraft in the world. Good job.
