There is nothing wrong with it, when you enter you will see people that are older than you.

When you enter school you go see 30 something. So, forget about age and focus on the exam

4 marriage or wat? if u re ready 2 get married go ahead. Schooling doesnt affect dat cos we av alot of married women schooling and if it is ur nysc or getting a job, u can always av an official age 4 dat

My dear go to school. Even in school you can find someone better as you build yourself.. Its never too late. You might see your age mate with 2-3 children already. Its their reality not yours.

Ma'am don't despair, I've seen people that are older than you (women) and still went in pursuit of their dreams.

I have a friend at the moment, she's 26 and she's aspiring to go for nursing in a school of nursing before proceeding to the university for a degree in nursing at that age

We tend to look at things on the short term instead of looking at how they'll impact our lives on the long run.
Consider this; when you become 40, will you be happy you wrote jamb now or would you be filled with regret that you didn't?
At 25, you're still very young. Nothing stops you from chasing your dreams and building the life you want for yourself. This is the right time to do that.
You have the precious gift of youth, don't waste it.

If you have a strong "WHY" of doing it you won't be asking us this question.

So go back to the table and make a firm and clear conclusion on 'WHY' you want to take the jamb.

If your 'WHY' is strong. You won't be bothered about other factors like age, money.

I'm not saying other factors don't matter considering the fact that some jobs won't consider anyone below 30.

University has no age limit and as for nysc, it isn't a guarantee towards getting a job. People older than you write jamb on yearly basis especially those that wish to change discipline

There's a saying that goes 'The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now." Yes, if you had "planted your tree", i.e taken the exam years ago when you were younger, you'd probably be enjoying the benefits of having a university education by now. But nothing is stopping you from writing it now, and enjoying those benefits in 5 years. When you're 30, you don't want to look back and think "I wish I had taken this exam when I was 25".

Also, as an addendum, when you take the exam and successfully get admitted, make sure that from day 1, you're looking up the skills required for your dream job. You don't want to graduate with just theoretical knowledge. If you're in Civil Engineering, learn and master CAD software while in school. If you're in economics learn to code in Python and it's applications in data science and finance. And so on. Don't wait till you graduate. I'm wishing you the very best.

Assuming it's a 4 years course, weather you go to the university or not, in four years time you'll be 29 years.

The only difference is that if you go, you'll be a 29 years old graduate. If you don't go, you'll be a 29 year old non graduate.

Whatever decision you choose, time is still not on your side. Time is not on anybody's side.

Go for it. I have seen an older man with eyes glasses taking jamb same with a military man in uniform
truly education does not mean someone will be rich but it is also a leverage to achieve things in life
even Obasanjo did his PhD at his old age. funny enough this thing is now easy, you can even run part time program and continue with your daily life (but part time is expensive though)

I started writing jamb at 16 and I got admitted at 23 now in my 200level, Corona has wasted another semester again

I later chose one school in the North and got admitted once, which school did you choose??

Sorry, what do you mean by..."You can always have an official age for that"? Say hypothetically speaking, there's this 31 year old guy, who'll be rounding off his studies after the lockdown. Can he still go for NYSC after graduating ( can it be worked out ) ? I mean considering what the law says.

I wrote jamb second time after I dropped out at 24 and got admitted at 25.

my advise: don't go for popular universities as aspirants are always in multitudes over there and competition is stiff.. go for a low key state uni in the north, your admission as long as you merit is sure instead of Hoping to get admitted to OAU or Unilag having tens of thousands of aspirants yearly.
