Please has anyone experienced this? Do i need to call them or something.. They haven't credited my JumiaPay wallet. They sent this email by 11PM yesterday and up till now, they haven't refunded me.

It's not jumia fault, since post covid it has been extremely difficult to bring in goods from abroad and the exchange rate is so volatile.... Most goods have double its initial cost

Very useless online store, the always fail. Either they bring u goods u didn't oder for or cancel the order after weeks of waiting....

I swear never to use them again.

I prefer Konga, at least, I can call the seller and ask him/her if he is ready to ship, if he is not ready I go for a new seller.

Stop the unnecessary panic because Jumia will return/repay the money you earlier transfered

not to worry, you'll get your refund. it happened to me also. i n my case i got refunded in my jumia wallet after which i transferred the money to my bank account. they even called me to confirm i did receive the refund.

An e- sale contract. Have you made payment? If you have made payment and in most cases if you have successfully "checked out" after adding to your cart and seal it up with payment jumia is expected to deliver your exact product. Also applicable where you have successfully "checked out" but haven't made payment WITHIN the stipulated timeframe for payment and jumia send such mail after successfully "checking out" jumia would have still been liable.

Should you choose another product as jumia has suggested then you have successfully weived your right. If other products are above your budget and the discount attracted you to the product then I suggest you send a mail to their customer care and insist that you want the product have payed for but before doing that I suggest you read their terms and conditions and watch out for excluding/limiting clauses if their is any of such you don't have not worry much because by virtue of you been the weaker party (buyer) the court may overlook such clauses to your advantage.

Jumia have just/about to rip OP off what they have done is similar to paying for a product and cost of delievey only for the seller to tell you that they no longer have the product in stock after they have successfully received payment for the product. In saner climes jumia would have been sued long ago what I should have expected from jumia to calm the OP down is to compensate OP by giving him #15,000 worth of voucher that would be deducted should he choose another product even with the voucher and WITHOUT Op wanting another product Op can still sue and get better compensation.


We all look but see differently if you have been asking God to bless you 2020 and by Dec. 31 2020 you say God haven't done it, God will look you from above and say he did bless you but you couldn't and didn't recognize neither did you utilise it

Yes, they have refunded me.

Jumia is genuine, they will for surely refund any unsuccessful transaction back to your JumiaPay wallet.

It is now left for you to use the money to buy other product on Jumia or simply withdraw to your bank account.
