I don't know if you people know how to read.. It's the people in NSTIF that stole the money..not the government.
The problem is not only the govt..it's the people
Dunderhead. Is the NSITF not a goverment agency. Is it an NGO or a PLC...

You don't have to comment on anything or everything.

Corruption in this government will break all previous record by the time their tenure is over, but zombies in Nairaland are still blind because of N30k stipend.

JAMO84, thatfairguy, , omenka, patroticman007, madridguy will hide their head in shame.

People like you make this country stink with your reckless and irresponsible tribal remarks. If you cannot share your ideas or opinions on social media with respect and decency, why not simple shut up and watch reasonable people discuss.

God bless Nigeria

Buhari is far from an ideal leader but I must commend his efforts towards plugging leakages that exist in our public system!
He plugged d leaks yet N48b found its way out from nsitf and N81b from NDDC. That's some plugging. Meanwhile these are d ones we no. What of d ones we don't no?

The endemic corruption ongoing in Buhari Presidency is indeed of gigantic proportion. Fighting corruption is not reeling out figure from time to time but putting a system in place that could forestall such kleptomaniac tendency in d first place. Gradually and steadily nobody is mentioning Goodluck Jonathan and PDP 16 yrs misrule as d reason for d bazaar of stealing.
It is a government of intergrity.

Let no one tell me it's still PDP fault ooo

You who promised paradise and haven't delivered are far worse, spoke as if they had it all figured out from A to Z yet the present doesn't reflect any of those promises, the pandemic would have been a good time to show the masses that they were still capable but yet they flopped big time, some are saying this time around that people are been 'exposed' and I ask have they been dealt with? Obviously not! Facts

The APC led government is just a shame and we can all see it, its not about popping up corruption cases its about eradicating it, if not at least make the people happy, quick to pass bills that don't favor the masses at large, slow to pass bills that will favor the masses.

Abeg how much be dollar to naira now sef

"Lopsided recruitment"? How? In whose favour? Can you back it up? Who collected monies from candidates for employment? Was it the management, the staff or recruitment agents?
I am a living witness. I am amongst the successful candidates that got his name shortchanged by someone who never even sat for the test or pass through the recruitment process. I will never forget in my entire life.

In 2011 Nsitf recruitment, we paid the sum of 2k each per candidate, to fill the form. Slip number from the bank after payment enabled us to fill the form online.
We were shortlisted for test. After the test, successful candidates were called for interview. After the interview, they sent successful names to FCC and the racketeering started between FCC, NSITF management and labour minister.

My name was amongst those sent to FCC. I saw it and I can swear with my life.
When I didn't hear anything again, I travelled to Abuja, to NSITF HQ's. I stood out for long cos they refused me going in. I saw this guy who drove a saloon car inside. When he came out, I saw envelopes in his hand and I rushed to him to engage him. He later told me he came to collect employment letters for his Madam's daughter and nephew who were abroad as at then!

My name was shortchanged. Not just me but a lot of people I met on the day of the interview. They came to complain too. We all met there!

I'm sure you work there and you entered via connection. You guys should continue. God Almighty will fight the course of the connectionless

I even confronted the secretary to the commissioner representing my state in Abuja, and he checked the list and showed me my name on the list. He said they've forwarded the names to FCC.
Olejeme and Emeka wogu, removed my name. I will never forget those 2!

Governance is a continuous process.
Mind you the people Ngige referred to are civil servants who has been stealing for long (even during PDP era when accountability or stewardship is of less importance)
This present government is even trying to fish out corrupt and fraudulent activity that ravaging Nigeria system.

That has always been custom in Government parastatals. This FORTUNATE tenure of PMB's anti-curroption is just making it a surprise

Let me explain if you’re that thick. The soldier’s would’t have waited for Buhari “If they did go mad again”- as you put it. They would have intervened long before 2015. Perhaps during the clueless years of Jonathan.

The probe should start from 2011, when they did recruitment racketeering. They collected monies from candidates for employment, then shortchanged successful candidates after test and interview. Ngozi Juliet olejeme was the chairman then, and Emeka wogu was the minister of labour. They should be probed for that lopsided recruitment.
The people you mentioned are still APC MEMBERS. It is not well with OUr country.

I certainly believe that your name was not shortchanged.

I think there is the problem of agents collecting money from job seekers and failing to secure the jobs at the end. Painfully the hopes of such people are raised that they will get the jobs but more painful is the failure and frustration at the end when the jobs are not secured.

Many apply for jobs but the truth there is that only a few can get them. Such may be your case, but I think it should not be generalised.

Contacts play a lot of role in the present day Nigeria. Everyone needs a job. I believe that
the "connectionless" will surely get jobs. I do not work there neither am I a civil servant. However I have an idea of how these things work. Cheers.
