There are a lot of DIYs online. He should put his time trying to innovate something new, not following old blueprints.

To be fair... to be really fair... there's nothing "encouraging" here.
He didn't join the circuits out of "waste"(nothing). He just found an RC, 4 DC motors, a receiver, and connected them together.

The only thing he "made" out of "waste" here was the quad frame.

There are tons of people even doing better online.

If he created the circuit frame himself, or even understood the concept behind it, you can say that.
I have made better drones at home here just for fun.


Most people that are supported for this sort of thing, are people that actually innovate something new.. or something to better the environment.

There was a fellow from Kano last year that fitted that category.

Yes, I would say that. Yes.
He should think harder and put in actual work.
All those Nigerian kids getting sponsored to World Green Energy summits aren't so far from him, both in age and condition.


He can start by actually questioning the circuit's work in powering that drone. Not just connecting. This way, he's a step closer to innovation.


I could make a better drone right now, even using far more complex circuits and mail you the recording.
Does that mean that one guy from somewhere should hit me with a few million bucks??
No.. because it's an old blueprint that anyone can do nowadays. ANYONE.


Just a normal sense of joining stuff and materials is all you need. There are far better DIYs spilled all over the internet.
