Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has commended Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for measures taken so far to curtail the increasingly tension in the country, urging Nigerians to give him maximum support to ensure a more united and peaceful nation.

The governor spoke on Friday while joining his Edo state counterpart, Mr. Godwin Obaseki to commissioned a private broadcast station, Bridge Radio 98.7 FM in Asaba, the state capital.

Speaking at the event, Governor Okowa said: “vice president, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo within the last few days, has been working tirelessly to unite us as a nation and we need to support him in whatever ways that we can.”

While stating that the people should be allowed to speak freely, Governor Okowa asserted, “even when the people are allowed to speak freely, such speeches should be tailored to unite us as a nation rather than destroy our country, because, we are in trying times as a nation, we are in recession and there are different ethnic groups speaking with different voices that does not tend to unite us as a people.”

Okowa is a PDP governor campaigning for Obaseki another PDP but both of them know who Osinbajo is. Osinbajo is a detribalized Nigerian who has worked tirelessly to unite Nigeria and Nigerians.
