Otuaro spoke to newsmen, Thursday, in Asaba on arrival from Abuja where he was invited with Petroleum Minister (State), Chief Timipre Sylva, to clarify issues of agitation by the communities to the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo who, it was said, does not “want the issues to escalate to bigger problems.

Me: They know who osinbajo is, they know all problems brought to him would be solved. As he had settled and stopped oil bombing which brought out OgoniCleanUp, empowerment for their women and creation of jobs for their youths, modular refineries; upgrade of the existing one and creation of 5 more refinaries which some are already completed and few almost at the completion stage.

The communities they claim to be representing will not get anything at the end of the day if they arrive at a deal. As usual the few will continue to dominate while the majority will continue to be impoverished. Niger Delta is supposed to be the most developed part of Nigeria judging by the huge monthly allocation that they get.

When the heat is turning up, they surely know where to go or who to meet. I trust the vice president to engage better on this. He brokered the relative peace we are enjoying from that region today.

there's nothing like ogoni clean up, it is a fraudulent scheme to sabotage funds, I have gone for site view, engage with the people of ogoni, there's nothing going on. even the federal roads leading to those communities are in deplorable state and it is affecting economic activities.

Looking at the VP’s antecedence, you will know that once the VP is involved, solutions are proffered e.g the peace he brokered between the militants in 2015. Another is how he inaugurated the ogoni clean up programme and ensured it was a reality etc

VP Yemi Osinbajo has on a number of times showed his special interest in the Niger Delta by giving his support whenever needed. As rightly advised by the VP, constructive engagements is the only appropriate approach to be applied in this latest Niger Delta agitation so as to ensure the issue doesn't escalate.
Re: Kingsley Otuaro And Timipre Sylva Meet Osinbajo Over Oil Shutdown Threats by inioluwa03: 8:15am On Aug 01, 2020
Osinbajo is a man of peace who does not want problem in any part of the country.
He sometimes oversaw Ogoni clean up, he is advocate of modular refineries to create jobs for youths in Niger Delta

Even Niger Deltans are thankful of the VP's timely intervention into the protests like he has done in the past. I hope we remember how he helped resolved the militant crisis then.

I personally think the VP has done a lot for Niger delta and still in progress, they know he’s a problem solver who will find a solution to this.

The VP has and will continue to be a problem solver to many records of his activities in the Niger Delta.
He Settled the militants in 2015 ,he inaugurated the ogoni cleanup currently ongoing and equally encouraged modular refineries and lots more

Nasiru Ahmad El Rufai ( Governor of Kaduna state )
Mamman Daura ( President Buhari 's uncle )
Late Ismailia Funtua
Prof. Ango Abdullahi
Junaid Muhammed
Balarabe Musa
+ a host of other northerners political leaders

THE ABOVE NAMES ARE THE GROUP OF NORTHERNERS THAT ARE DELAYING THE PROGRESS OF NIGERIA AND USING THEIR ROLE AS LEADERS FROM THE NORTH TO IMPOSED NORTHERN DOMINATION OF THE CRUDE OIL RESOURCES OF THE GOOD PEOPLE OF THE NIGER DELTA REGION.

Those who enjoy the proceeds of the oil.

This life nor balance @ all

D road u showed in d BBC pix doesn't require d effort of osinbajo, ajimobis or aregbesola to fix. It's most likely a local government road. States& local governments in Niger Delta receive & have been receiving huge subventions. What is road& drainage that they can't provide in their domains? So instead of putting non Niger Delta politicians as d sole beneficiaries of oil wealth in Nigeria, go a step further and include Niger Delta leaders, both political & cultural
