I have a question about vps or dedicated server Hosting I'm new to it. If I'm to run a software on a VP or dedicated server. Do I need my data to run the software. I mean the software requires internet connection to work, can I run the software virtually even without my data or when my computer is not working? |

ostechno:you don't need data to make the software run 24/7. you need data to connect you to the vps server so you can have access to do anything. after that, the software inside the vps will keep running. so you only need data to connect and operate the vps |

ostechno: The vps is like a second computer on another network. Once you login remotely to your vps and set it up, as long as you don't turn it off whatever software you put on it would run 24/7 without your data. The only time you'd use data is the little to login and monitor. What sort of software do you plan on running? It might be better to get a Windows vps with rdp access if it is a Windows software so the interface would be familiar since you're new to it |
