pablobellins:I love the point you made (in your region)I reside in the north guess you know what I mean...lol,but not to deny the fact that truly even in the north Toyota has increased compare to before...but is Honda fading away?may be in your region yes,but in mine is a hell no, I have the previlage of having both rides at my disposal,so I'm always interested in discussion about the two brands...lol,(that's on a lighter note)but Toyota is also much up north. |

pablobellins:Any of them doesn't have factory plants in Nigeria so will talk of global production, you still don't get it wen we say Toyota produces more vehicles, it mean their vehicles will be cosmopolitan as in found nearly everywhere, so when we now still find Honda everywhere too even though they produce and sell less in comparison with Toyota it means they are doing well too. Honda has problems with v6 variant from 1998 model till 2007 but it has been corrected. Don't expect Honda and Toyota to go head to head in vehicles sales soon because Toyota produces more. if naira does not depreciate woefully in next five years 2013 Accord is a goal. you will see dem flood our market |

I was just having the same thought with the OP when I stumbled upon this thread reason is, I will be in the market for a new car soon and am just thinking what to get. I want something produced between 2008 - 2010. Now if I wanted something say from 99 - 03 then no doubt about it. It will be a Honda EOD or Babyboy. I will never be caught dead buying either big daddy or any of the pencil light. As for the corolla of that same period. Walai if its not raining and you give me a lift I'd rather trek. Those cars are just boring.(Lol) But as from 2008 its like Honda has relaxed her game while Toyota has stepped up. I dont know I think I might end up going for the an Hyundai product sha. As the one am using presently has been superb. If the way I dey reason offend anyone please correct me with love. Am just reasoning out loud. |

Honda is very not scarce in Kaduna and Abuja, especially the Accord. From hala to the latest accord all of them full road. I drive a grey DC and people are always claiming to have "seen" my car in places I didn't go to. Na DC, EOD and evil spirit plenty pass. Pilot, Ridgeline, CRV, HRV, Civic including that sweet 2011 Euro Civic hatchback, all manner of Acura, even Passport I dey see them here steady. Honda is definitely not fading here. Have you even seen the latest Accord (2018 - date)? Company wey dey make fine car like that no go fade. The car plenty pass the latest Camry here for now. |

Honda products have been declining in the southwest truly, but i do see honda cars every blessed day. People are actually running away from them because of their ball joints issue, forgetting that, it has been corrected in their newest products. The unavailability of good roads in the southwest here have made people run away but never in the North. For every Toyota car, there are already 50 honda cars. They get good roads. Ball joints issue no dey for them. |

well; about the north, am familiar with keffi~marabaa~nyanyan~central area~dutse~kubwa. Through honda is still rampant there; but still if u take ur time to do a little survey beteen honda and toyota only; toyota will still come out on top. If u live or frequent the places i just mentioned; just carry out this survey and share ur observation. |

dgitrader:Well I might not be a core Honda person like you but I think am a fan of Honda and I definitely prefer them to any other Japanese automobile. But it seems they are dropping the ball and Toyota is slowly but steadily catching up. |

pablobellins:A Honda is almost always better than the competing Toyota. Accord over Camry, Civic over Corolla. |
