Be deceiving yourself on your self conceit.
I'll be pleased to continue deceiving myself with the fruit that's visible to all eyes {Matthew 7:16-18} than to agree with your fruitless arguments that's causing division and contradictions amongst your fellow Churchgoers! 1 Corinthians 14:33 cheesy

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! undecided

Everlasting life is meant for all true believers {John 3:16, 17:3} but those who will rule with Jesus are the first to be resurrected and gain everlasting life {1Thessalonians 4:16} these group will be selected from amongst those who have been trained by the King himself (Jesus) so none of those who lived before Jesus can be a part of the team {Matthew 11:11} they were supposed to rule as corulers with the Christ in Jerusalem {Isaiah 2:3} but Jerusalem has been profaned with the blood of God's faithful servants {Matthew 23:37-38} that's why Jesus made a new promise to his followers who were prospective corulers with him! John 14:1-4

So going to heaven wasn't in God's plan at all from the beginning, Jesus asked for it and God granted the request so his corulers are going to stay with him there! smiley
Again, according to Jesus Christ, the blessings of the New Covenant tell you exactly who will do what.... Those who believe are those who OBEY THE COMMANDMENTS that Jesus Christ has given, particularly as pertains RIGHTEOUSNESS.....Those are His own Sheeps as detailed below...
Matthew 25 vs 31-40 (ESV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
31. “The Son of Man will come again with divine greatness, and all his angels will come with him. He will sit as king on his great and glorious throne.
32. All the people of the world will be gathered before him. Then he will separate everyone into two groups. It will be like a shepherd separating his sheep from his goats.
33. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34. “Then the king will say to the godly people on his right, ‘Come, my Father has great blessings for you. The kingdom he promised is now yours. It has been prepared for you since the world was made.
35. It is yours because when I was hungry, you gave me food to eat. When I was thirsty, you gave me something to drink. When I had no place to stay, you welcomed me into your home.
36. When I was without clothes, you gave me something to wear. When I was sick, you cared for me. When I was in prison, you came to visit me.’
37. “Then the godly people will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and give you food? When did we see you thirsty and give you something to drink?
38. When did we see you with no place to stay and welcome you into our home? When did we see you without clothes and give you something to wear?
39. When did we see you sick or in prison and care for you?’
40. “Then the king will answer, ‘The truth is, anything you did for any of my people here,[b] you also did for me.’
41. “Then the king will say to the evil people on his left, ‘Get away from me. God has already decided that you will be punished. Go into the fire that burns forever—the fire that was prepared for the devil and his angels.
42. You must go away because when I was hungry, you gave me nothing to eat. When I was thirsty, you gave me nothing to drink.
43. When I had no place to stay, you did not welcome me into your home. When I was without clothes, you gave me nothing to wear. When I was sick and in prison, you did not care for me.’
44. “Then those people will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty? When did we see you without a place to stay? Or when did we see you without clothes or sick or in prison? When did we see any of this and not help you?’
45. “The king will answer, ‘The truth is, anything you refused to do for any of my people here, you refused to do for me.’
46. “Then these evil people will go away to be punished forever. But the godly people will go and enjoy eternal life.”
According to the same Jesus Christ, the meek shall inherit the earth, but those poor in Spirit, along with those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, shall inherit the kingdom of God. What does this mean? It means the SHEEPLES(the meek) will spend their so-called "eternity" on earth, not the righteous. undecided
Matthew 5 vs 2-11 (ESV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying:
3. “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
5. “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
6. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
7. “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
8. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
9. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons[a] of God.
10. “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11. “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
12. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

I'm not doubting that meek ones will inherit the earth, but what i'm saying is that it is the same requirements that is expected from those who will go to heaven with Christ and those who will live forever on earth!

Jesus explained this when the mother of James and John came to plead with Jesus for him to include her sons in his ruling cabinet so to speak, Jesus asked them if they're ready to do all what it takes, notice how enthusiastic they were to reply "YES", yet Jesus made it clear to them that even at that God is the one who will select those to rule with him, so all Jesus could do is to teach them how to rule, it's God who will select amongst the Christians those with whom his spirit is pleased! Matthew 20:20-23 smiley

Who rules, were, and when does not matter and is meaningless as far as this thread is concerned. What matters is where who ends up and why

Psalm 37 vs 29 is David repeating the promise of the Old Covenant which God made with the descendants of Jacob, which is the agreement between God and Abraham.
The agreement between God and Abraham did indeed promise the inheritance of the land of Canaan to the descendants of Israel for the righteous among them to dwell in forever...
Genesis 17 vs 3-8 (ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Then Abram bowed down before God. God said to him,
4. “This is my part of our agreement: I will make you the father of many nations.
5. I will change your name from Abram[b] to Abraham,[c] because I am making you the father of many nations.
6. I will give you many descendants. New nations and kings will come from you.
7. And I will prepare an agreement between me and you. This agreement will also be for all your descendants. It will continue forever. I will be your God and the God of all your descendants.
8. And I will give this land to you and to all your descendants. I will give you the land you are traveling through—the land of Canaan. I will give you this land forever, and I will be your God.
David was certainly not speaking there, or anywhere, of the New Covenant that we have through Jesus Christ which promises instead Eternal Life and the Kingdom of God(a concept which did not exist in the Old covenant) to those who are tired of the Old Covenant and those condemned by the Old Covenant(the gentiles). For you see, the promise of the Old Covenant was only available to the descendants of Jacob (not even to the foreigners who lived among them).

David did not have to because as King of the Israelites and as an Israelite himself it would have been redundant. The Psalms were not written to all Nations but to his people. That is obvious even today, isn't it? undecided
God's promise, the one David was aware of, and wrote of in his psalms, was the promise God made to the people of Israel. David was not a prophet, so he wrote of the promise God had to the people that he knew. undecided

Sorry Sir!

David was indeed both Prophet and King, remember he was the one who prophesied that "Jesus will be asked to sit at God's right hand" Psalms 110:1-2
Apostles Peter confirmed that David actually PROPHESIED about what will happen to the Christ! Act 2:34-35

So David was indeed a PROPHET of God! wink

Even a broken clock is right about two times a day. So I asked you to information on where God deems David His prophet ....
Deuteronomy 18 vs 14-22
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
14. “You will force the other nations out of your land. They listen to people who use magic and try to tell the future. But the Lord your God will not let you do these things.
15. The Lord your God will send to you a prophet. This prophet will come from among your own people, and he will be like me. You must listen to him.
16. God will send you this prophet because that is what you asked him to do. When you were gathered together at Mount Horeb, you became frightened and said, ‘Don’t let us hear the voice of the Lord our God again! Don’t let us see that great fire or we will die!’

17. “The Lord said to me, ‘What they ask for is good.
18. I will send them a prophet like you. This prophet will be one of their own people. I will tell him what he must say, and he will tell the people everything I command.
19. This prophet will speak for me, and I will punish anyone who refuses to listen to my commands.’
20. But a prophet might say something that I did not tell him to say. And he might tell people that he is speaking for me. If this happens, that prophet must be killed. Also a prophet might come that speaks for other gods. That prophet must also be killed.
21. You might be thinking, ‘How can we know if something a prophet says is not from the Lord?’
22. If a prophet says he is speaking for the Lord, but what he says does not happen, you will know that the Lord did not say it. You will know that this prophet was speaking his own ideas. You don’t need to be afraid of him.
So, according to the properties above of a prophet, He will speak on behalf of God to the people. So, where does David speak on behalf of God to His people, Israel? undecided
Also, in what manner was David like Moses? undecided

Well i'll enlighten you. David prophesied, Jesus himself quoted David's word in order to help his listeners realize that God spoke to them through David! {Matthew 22:41-45}
Apostle Peter also quoted David's words to help his listeners realize that God spoke to them through David! Act 2:34

There were many prophets God sent to the Israelites, the only prophet sent in the manner of Moses was Jesus who served as both God and Prophet at the same time!

Moses served as God {Exodus 7:1} as a mediator of a covenant {Jeremiah 31:31-34} as a deliverer when he brought God's people out of Egyptian bondage, God used him to perform great signs, and his body was not found after his death!
That's why Moses said "God will raise another prophet like me from amongst you, you must listen to the words God will put in his mouth" {Deuteronomy 18:15-18} and Peter confirmed that Moses was speaking about Jesus! Act 3:22-23 smiley

Why do you have a very hard time responding to questions asked your person?
According to the passage below... David did not speak on behalf of God at all as Deuteronomy 18 suggests all prophets ought to.
Matthew 22 vs 41-46
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
41. So while the Pharisees were together, Jesus asked them a question.
42. He said, “What do you think about the Messiah? Whose son is he?”
The Pharisees answered, “The Messiah is the Son of David.”
43. Jesus said to them, “Then why did David call him ‘Lord’? David was speaking by the power of the Spirit. He said,
44. ‘The Lord God said to my Lord:
Sit by me at my right side,
and I will put your enemies under your control.[f]’

45. David calls the Messiah ‘Lord.’ So how can he be David’s son?”
46. None of the Pharisees could answer Jesus’ question. And after that day, no one was brave enough to ask him any more questions.
The Spirit of God was on every king in Israel, so it is nothing of a mystery that the spirit will reveal God's truth to him. However, unless you are about to suggest that all those who have the spirit of God on them are by default Prophets, I suggest you read what David indeed said in the context of what God said His prophets will do.

The point is, right from the moment Jesus Christ resurrected 2000 years ago all believers have been living forever on this earth. Eternity started 2000 years ago, no other eternity.
John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
WHAT? shocked
Could you please clarify your statement again about eternity so I can better understand the claim you make here?
John 6 vs 47- 59 (ESV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
47. “I can assure you that anyone who believes has eternal life.
48. I am the bread that gives life.
49. Your ancestors ate the manna God gave them in the desert, but it didn’t keep them from dying
50. Here is the bread that comes down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will never die.
51. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my body. I will give my body so that the people in the world can have life.”
52. Then the Jews began to argue among themselves. They said, “How can this man give us his body to eat?”
53. Jesus said, “Believe me when I say that you must eat the body of the Son of Man, and you must drink his blood. If you don’t do this, you have no real life.
54. Those who eat my body and drink my blood have eternal life. I will raise them up on the last day.
55. My body is true food, and my blood is true drink.
56. Those who eat my body and drink my blood live in me, and I live in them.
57. “The Father sent me. He lives, and I live because of him. So everyone who eats me will live because of me.
58. I am not like the bread that your ancestors ate. They ate that bread, but they still died. I am the bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever.”
59. Jesus said all this while he was teaching in the synagogue in the city of Capernaum.

Kobojunkie:
I don't understand what you mean by the above.
there is this inherent human nature that aways make us to feel that our state of spirituality where we are is better than others, and we feel very satisfied to remind ourselves of that.
It is that same nature that has
made some Christians today to develop certain doctrines saying if other set of Christians don't stop committing sin like they do, or keep to certain laws and beliefs governed by the doctrines of their beliefs, they will not make heaven.
For instance, some Christians believe that if all Christians fail to dress modestly, then they are not Christians and they will not make heaven.

As a matter of fact, Paul in the bible condemned Peter for imposing circumcision law of the Jews to gentile believers for them to be saved, But meanwhile we are justified by our faith, not by doctrines and laws.

This is how doctrines can make one not to be happy or appreciate that others are saved.
When a doctrine is making you to believe that salvation is coming in the future meanwhile your salvation is now, is that not a terrible setback due to misinformation?
That is what these jw people and most Christians are doing today
But that only applies to those who accept Jesus Christ, the New Covenant. Acceptance means obedience to the Contract stipulations as far as becoming a follower of Jesus Christ and remaining in Jesus Christ's love is concerned.
undecided
yes!
That's why i said it is Christians that are doing fellow Christians.
There is this inherent nature of humans dominating and controlling fellow humans to dance to their tune of doctrine
Deeper life will say they are better than winners, Jehovah witness will say they are better than Catholics.
What the nonsense!

The earth has been restored back to the way it was before Adam sinned. Where do you get this from?

The multitude were also astonished of Jesus doctrine too grin
It's suprising!

Matthew 22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

This means Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were not dead but were still alive on earth as at the time Jesus was talking to the multitude

When Jesus said God is the God of the living, he truly meant living people that were living alive on earth.
So, how come the multitude did not see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob physically among them?
[quote]How come no one has seen them since their ETERNAL sentence began right here on earth 2000 year ago? :x
because their body has changed?
They were given new body after they resurrected

there is this inherent human nature that aways make us to feel that our state of spirituality where we are is better than others, and we feel very satisfied to remind ourselves of that.
That is what these jw people and most Christians are doing today yes!
According to Jesus Christ Himself, Doctrines and traditions of men are lies that nullify the very power of God in the setting it is applied or believed.
Mark 7 vs 1-13 (ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Now when the Pharisees gathered to him, with some of the scribes who had come from Jerusalem,
2. they saw that some of his disciples ate with hands that were defiled, that is, unwashed.
3. (For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they wash their hands properly,[a] holding to the tradition of the elders,
4. and when they come from the marketplace, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other traditions that they observe, such as the washing of cups and pots and copper vessels and dining couches.[c])
[b] 5.
And the Pharisees and the scribes asked him, “Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat with defiled hands?”
6. And he said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written,
“‘This people honors me with their lips,
but their heart is far from me;

7. in vain do they worship me,
teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’

8. You leave the commandment of God and hold to the (doctrines and rules)** tradition of men.”
9. And he said to them, “You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God in order to establish your tradition!
10. For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘Whoever reviles father or mother must surely die.’
11. But you say, ‘If a man tells his father or his mother, “Whatever you would have gained from me is Corban”’ (that is, given to God)[d]—
12. then you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother,
13. thus making void the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And many such things you do.”

That's why i said it is Christians that are doing fellow Christians.
There is this inherent nature of humans dominating and controlling fellow humans to dance to their tune of doctrine
Deeper life will say they are better than winners, Jehovah witness will say they are better than Catholics.
What the nonsense!
As far as the Gospel is concerned, all that is meaninglessness(see the passage above). But the questions I asked,
paxonel:
1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
But if you carefully re-examine the verse in context, you will see that Paul never stated that the earth had been restored.. No, he could not have said such since he, Paul, is not God to make such a declaration on behalf of God.
1 Corinthians 15 vs 20-28 (ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
20. But Christ really has been raised from death—the first one of all those who will be raised.
21. Death comes to people because of what one man did. But now there is resurrection from death because of another man.
22. I mean that in Adam all of us die. And in the same way, in Christ all of us will be made alive again.
23. But everyone will be raised to life in the right order. Christ was first to be raised. Then, when Christ comes again, those who belong to him will be raised to life.
24. Then the end will come. Christ will destroy all rulers, authorities, and powers. Then he will give the kingdom to God the Father.
25. Christ must rule until God puts all enemies under his control.[a]
26. The last enemy to be destroyed will be death.
27. As the Scriptures say, “God put everything under his control.” When it says that “everything” is put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself. God is the one putting everything under Christ’s control.
[b] 28.
After everything has been put under Christ, then the Son himself will be put under God. God is the one who put everything under Christ. And Christ will be put under God so that God will be the complete ruler over everything.

this is the same question that Jesus was asked.

Why do you assume because they are not dead but living, they are here on earth, alive?
paxonel:
When Jesus said God is the God of the living, he truly meant living people that were living alive on earth.
Jesus Christ also rose from the dead too, but He is not here on earth, yet He lives. So, why do you submit that the others are 'living alive on earth'?
paxonel:
So, how come the multitude did not see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob physically among them?
because their body has changed? They were given new body after they resurrected
How many times have they been 'resurrected' since their original deaths. Or are the new bodies eternal? If so, how come we have not spotted so many people living for many centuries on this earth that we live in?
Does Abraham know who he is in his new body? I am guessing the body is some sort of disguise for him, but the mind remains intact? But you tell me.
paxonel:
1 Corinthians 15:38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body
Context is really key when considering the meaning contained in Bible verses...
1 Corinthians 15 vs 35-28 (ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
35. But someone may ask, “How are the dead raised? What kind of body will they have?”
36. These are stupid questions. When you plant something, it must die in the ground before it can live and grow.
37. And when you plant something, what you plant does not have the same “body” that it will have later. What you plant is only a seed, maybe wheat or something else.
38. But God gives it the body that he has planned for it, and he gives each kind of seed its own body.
39. All things made of flesh are not the same: People have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds have another, and fish have yet another kind.
40. Also there are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies. But the beauty of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the beauty of the earthly bodies is another.
41. The sun has one kind of beauty, the moon has another kind, and the stars have another. And each star is different in its beauty.
42. It will be the same when those who have died are raised to life. The body that is “planted” in the grave will ruin and decay, but it will be raised to a life that cannot be destroyed.
43. When the body is “planted,” it is without honor. But when it is raised, it will be great and glorious. When the body is “planted,” it is weak. But when it is raised, it will be full of power.
44. The body that is “planted” is a physical body. When it is raised, it will be a spiritual body.

Why do you assume because they are not dead but living, they are here on earth, alive?
This is the reason and it's not assumption, it is scriptural.

Revelation 21:24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it(the kingdom of God or heaven): and THE KINGS OF THE EARTH do bring their glory and honour into it.

take note of the phrase THE KINGS OF THE EARTH.

if heaven isn't located here on this earth how then will the king of the earth bring their glory to it?

Note: the book of revelation is the final description of how heaven will be.
Jesus Christ also rose from the dead too, but He is not here on earth, yet He lives.

So, why do you submit that the others are 'living alive on earth'?
1. Firstly, Jesus Christ is God and he isn't man so he exist as spirit while every believer(men)exist in this physical
2. Secondly, Jesus Christ lives in us

2 Corinthians 13:5 .....Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

If Jesus Christ lives in you and you are on earth, then Jesus Christ is also on earth in you. So, it is wrong to say Jesus Christ is not here on earth.
How many times have they been 'resurrected' since their original deaths.
there are no counts

John 10:10 .....I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

So the number of life or grace is abundant, there are no counts and it will last this way forever except the believer deviate from his faith in Christ at any point in his abundant life which will be very difficult.
Or are the new bodies eternal?
no!
The new body dies, but the life is eternal.

1 Corinthians 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption(dead)....

So, the body must die first.
And immediately after death, the soul will resurrect with another body which cannot be recognized. Remember, even Jesus was not recognized by his disciples after he resurrected.

1 Corinthians 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
If so, how come we have not spotted so many people living for many centuries on this earth that we live in?
because unbelievers who died did not resurrect, and believers who resurrected have come to fill the space, and a balance is created.
You will notice that we have more believers now compared to how it was in the past.
Does Abraham know who he is in his new body?
no!
He will not possibly know.

2 Corinthians 5:17 ....old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
I am guessing the body is some sort of disguise for him, but the mind remains intact? But you tell me.
the mind is part of the body and will be totally formatted like a memory card at death.
Context is really key when considering the meaning contained in Bible verses...
you asked a set of valid intelligent questions here I must commend you grin

exactly!
But if you carefully re-examine the verse in context, you will see that Paul never stated that the earth had been restored.. No, he could not have said such since he, Paul, is not God to make such a declaration on behalf of God.
Paul don't need to say that. And that doesn't mean the earth has not been restored.
Now look at this parable :

Matthew 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

Take note of this response

29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Note that the field itself (representing the earth) was not destroyed but only the tares were separated from the wheat and destroyed

But the parable you quoted there says nothing about the earth being restored to Adamic times and it does not in anyway say that the wheat will all be alive at the time of the harvest.

Kobojunkie:

what do you mean by Adamic times?
We are in our current era and eternal life has been restored to man just like the way it was before Adam and Eve sinned.
There is nothing like going back to Adamic times
and it does not in anyway say that the wheat will all be alive at the time of the harvest.
very true!
The parable was not interpreted but when you follow the way Jesus interpreted other of his parables you will get what it means.
And morever, the aim of the parable was to describe God's kingdom that's why jesus started by saying The kingdom of heaven is likened unto...
And you already know that the aim of God's kingdom is to resurrect believers so that they will be alive again after they die, so with that, one can deduce that the wheat represent believers who are preserved to live forever while the tare represent unbelievers who are condemned to die forever and will not be resurrected, since both believers and unbelieves are found living together on this field called the earth, there will be separation.

The earth was cursed by God after Adam. There is a place where it is said He removed the curse, but I wonder if that was the entire world or just a place.
Also, since man has not kept up with the job he was originally created for(caretaker of the earth, sky, animals, etc.) Yeah, the earth as is the Kingdom of Earth as we have messed it up.

Are you now saying that the dead will indeed remain dead until the time of the harvest?

In the parable you picked there, 'the kingdom of God is likened to' refers not to the field but the good shower sowing His seeds in a field, only to have... The kingdom of God is likened to the entire story in that instance.

Who rules, were, and when does not matter and is meaningless as far as this thread is concerned. What matters is where who ends up and why

Again, according to the same Jesus Christ, the meek shall inherit the earth, but those poor in Spirit, along with those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, shall inherit the kingdom of God. What does this mean? It means the SHEEPLES(the meek) will spend their so-called "eternity" on earth, not the righteous. undecided

Yeah, only the meek(sheeples) get to inherit the earth. undecided
2 Peter 3:13, NIV: "But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells."
