Spy360:Yeah, maybe I misunderstood your earlier post. But from what I get, we must sell ozil and mkhi by force if any available price and willing club comes. Inasmuch we're hoping on replacement, their sale shouldn't be dependent on whether the replacements are available or not. They should just go first |

Arsenal have officially made an offer for Willian as they look to sign the forward from Chelsea. The 31-year-old is out of contract at Stamford Bridge this summer and has been offered a three-year deal at the Emirates. According to Sky Sports, the offer from Arsenal is far superior to the terms offered by Barcelona and Inter Milan. Chelsea have refused to offer the former Shakhtar Donetsk player more than two years, who made 47 appearances this season for the Blues. |

Kbs468:It's Auba obviously. He was on fire from start to finish. He scored till the last day of the season and even scored the two goals in the final of the only cup we won this season. Leno would've come closer if he didn't have injuries and Martinez's brilliant performances kinda demystified the legend of Leno |

EDOUARD WOULD TRANSFORM OUR ATTACK: Analysis on the exciting rumoured Arsenal Target Rohan Jivan • RohansBlog, • Transfer Gossip August 5, 2020 0 Complete centre forward To shine in the centre forward role, there are more attributes that managers look for in a player in today’s game. Goal scoring is certainly fundamental but hold up play, and the ability to link midfield and attack is just as important. Eventually, I believe Arteta wants to play a 4-3-3 system, with two attacking midfielders drifting in between the lines. The centre forward has to be able to drop deep and provide a link. Firmino does it for Liverpool and Martial does the same for United. Aguero also provides a similar influence in this aspect, as his low centre of gravity allows him to occupy players and bring others in to play. This is why Aubameyang isn’t playing through the middle. Despite Mikel saying how highly he values Lacazette, there are rumours surfacing that he could be sold since he is moving towards his final two years of his contract. So let’s assume he leaves. My ideal replacement is Odsonne Edouard who has been linked with Arsenal, Leicester and Leeds it seems. Clinical finisher Obviously, the clear standout aspect in Edouard’s game is his ruthless nature in front of goal. Statistically, in terms of goals/assists, his productivity and influence is apparent. 2019-2020 Scottish premier league statistics Appearances: 27 Minutes: 2097 Goals: 21 Assists: 9 G/A every 70 minutes His output is what has drawn attention across many clubs within Europe. Compared to Lacazette, he is far more productive and lethal. There definitely is the argument that the level of the Scottish league is significantly lower, compared to the major leagues across Europe. But there is no denying that his finishing is of the highest order and if he did move to Arsenal, the supply lines and quality of players surrounding him would be greater which therefore would provide him with the opportunity of more goal scoring opportunities. Possesses all the ingredients to be a complete centre forward His all round play fits the criteria Arteta looks for in a centre forward. Standing at 6ft 2in, he competes well in aerial duels and his ability to hold the ball, link midfield and attack is underrated. What I like about him is his unpredictable style of play. He can easily drop in between the lines, hold off players with his physical presence and bring others around him into the game. But what he also possesses is a quick burst of pace, and is very effective and dangerous in making runs in behind, whether that’s centrally or through the channels. This is one of the differences between Lacazette and him. Arsenal’s current No.9 has showed to be extremely effective with his hold up play, but in terms of his off the ball movement, he is a lot more predictable compared to Edouard. Greater comparisons can be drawn from statistics shown below. The numbers clearly show that he has the potential to be an upgrade. Odsonne Edouard Goals per 90: 0.90 Assists per 90: 0.39 Shots on target percentage: 45% Shots per 90: 4.29 Shots on target per 90: 1.93 Goals per shot on target: 0.47 Alexandre Lacazette Goals per 90: 0.48 Assists per 90: 0.19 Shots on target percentage: 49.1% Shots per 90: 2.55 Shots on target per 90: 1.25 Goals per shot on target: 0.38 What I really like about him is that his first instinct is always to get a shot away, whenever an opportunity arises. As shown above, during the 2019/20 season, he averages 4.29 shots per 90 which would see him rank high amongst the strikers in the Premier League. Furthermore, his ability as a creator is another asset to his game. In terms of key passes, he averages 1.8 per game. His 9 assists in the 2019/20 Scottish Premiership season provides further evidence that goal scoring is only one of many aspects he possesses to his game. He’s also very good with the ball at his feet, and has the ability to go past players with his strong dribbling ability. Statistically, he averages 7 dribbles per 90, which shows that he is very capable as a ball carrier. Final thoughts Speaking to Celtic fans, they believe that he has all the attributes to provide consistency at a top European club. His composure/calmness when he has an opportunity to make the difference, whether thats through goals or assists, for someone still so young is impressive. Excellent in tight spaces along and with possessing good awareness of his surroundings. The new SPL season has commenced and it didn’t take long for Edouard to make an impact. He bagged a hat trick in his first appearance of the new season. His first goal epitomises the role needed from your centre forward in todays game. He drops in between the lines and in a pocket of space to receive the ball. He then lays it of to the player out wide on the left. The notable difference to Lacazette is the next phase. His sharpness and quick burst of pace, along with his desire to make the run around the CB, enabled him to be on the end of a tap in. I don’t see this enough from Lacazette. The build up play from our French number 9 is quality, but the next phase is what has been lacking in his game on a consistent basis. Still only 22 years old and I believe a club like Arsenal could be the next step in his career. Under Arteta, his qualities and attributes can be further refined. Previous rumours stated that £40M could be enough to acquire his services. Lacazette is now 29 and is moving towards the last two years of his contract. His value will start to decline significantly so I would look to move him on this summer. Juventus are said to be keen on him and if the opportunity arises that we can bring Edouard in, then I would be more than happy to do this deal. He provides us with more productivity along with possessing similar attributes to Lacazette in terms of hold up play. Front three of Pepe, Edouard and Aubameyang would certainly be exciting to me.

Who is Gabriel Magalhaes? Meet the towering Lille defender and reported transfer target for Arsenal, Everton and Man Utd A Brazilian youth international with telescopic legs, Gabriel has impressed in the Ligue 1 over the last couple of seasons By Will Magee August 6, 2020 10:22 am He may only have made his breakthrough for Lille last year, but Gabriel Magalhaes has done enough to attract interest from clubs across Europe. A long-term target for Everton, reports in the Italian press suggested he was on the verge of joining Napoli in June. Lille teammate Victor Osimhen has already moved to the Stadio San Paolo, with The Guardian reporting that the Serie A side have paid an initial fee of €60m for him. Whether Napoli can afford to sign Gabriel as well remains to be seen. Though they still appear to be in the running, Arsenal and Manchester United have also been heavily linked this week. Both Arsenal and United are in the market for defensive reinforcements this summer and, at 22, Gabriel fits the right profile. A Brazilian youth international who has worked hard for his opportunity at Lille, he is a towering presence at around 6’3 and has considerable potential. Having made 24 appearances in Ligue 1 this term, Gabriel helped to guide Lille to fourth in the table before the campaign was cut short in response to the coronavirus crisis. Here’s some background on how he made a name for himself at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy. Gabriel Magalhaes profile Age: 22 Nationality: Brazilian Previous clubs: Avai, Troyes (loan), Dinamo Zagreb (loan) What could Gabriel bring to the Premier League? A strong, aerially dominant centre-back, Gabriel is also something of a specialist tackler. In possession of two telescopic legs, he is an impressive ball-winner and proactive in defence. Having moved to Lille in 2017 from Brazilian second-tier side Avai, where he had previously made only 21 appearances, he took a while to break into the first team and was loaned to Troyes and Dinamo Zagreb without getting much game time at either. On his return to France ahead of the 2018-19 season, Gabriel started to impose himself. Though he only made two appearances for Lille across the first half of the campaign, he got his first Ligue 1 start against Guingamp in February and hasn’t looked back since. First-choice alongside Jose Fonte, his development has been accelerated this term. He got his first taste of Champions League football in September and, while Lille finished rock bottom of their group, he caught the eye. Gabriel featured twice against Chelsea with both games ending in narrow 2-1 defeats, which may have served as a scouting exercise for other Premier League clubs. While, like most defenders his age, he is far from the finished product, his rapid rise over the last couple of seasons suggests that he could be a smart signing and, with a reported valuation somewhere between £25m and £30m, he should appreciate in value in the years to come.

Premier League clubs vote against five substitute proposal for next season The Premier League has voted against the proposal of making five substitutes from next season and will revert to the usual three By John Cross Chief Football Writer 14:03, 6 AUG 2020 UPDATED14:05, 6 AUG 2020 Premier League clubs have voted to revert to a maximum of three substitutes for next season. Premier League clubs vote against five substitute proposal for next season The Premier League has voted against the proposal of making five substitutes from next season and will revert to the usual three. Clubs voted 11-9 against the proposals to stick with five substitutes for the 2020/21 season after the rule was brought in during Project Restart to help clubs get through the crowded fixture schedule. There was also a vote - which ended 10v10 - to extend match day squads to 20 players but that will also revert to seven players on the bench for next season. The Premier League meeting held this morning needed a majority of 14-6 to get any proposal voted through after law makers IFAB made the five subs rule available for all leagues next season. The Premier League has voted against five subs It is understood the big clubs were in favour of five subs but the smaller teams against it because they feel it gave their opponents too much of an advantage as they have bigger and more strength in depth. The five subs was brought in post-lockdown and clubs like Manchester City and Manchester United were able to bring on superstar substitutes to win a game. Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson revealed last month that they originally voted in favour of five subs - it was brought in with a majority of 16-4 - but would vote against it this time. It is believed all three promoted clubs - Leeds, West Brom and Fulham - voted against five subs. Certain managers have bemoaned the amount of subs claiming it favours the top clubs. That was expected while the clubs were given details on the new-look VAR for next season when FIFA will take overall control and that should give the green light for referees to check pitch side monitors. A discussion was also started on the possibility of curtailment for next season to at least have a plan in place should there be a second spike though that will not be agreed on before the next meeting. Mirror Sport also revealed discussions between the clubs to try and offer some financial support to EFL clubs while also discussing the fixture schedule and dates for the Carabao Cup. |

kodded:Lol... I get our defenders are bad, but please let's don't paint them as if they're one derby county levels. Aside Liverpool and man city (even Liverpool sef is open seeing as Gomez is starting), which other teams do you think fit Chambers, Holding can't start? I'm seeing tanganga starting at Tottenham, Christensen, tomori starting at Chelsea, (lemme don't even talk about rudiger). If we go to midfield, aside ceb and Xhaka and maybe torreira, nobody, and I mean nobody is worthy to start there. Also, None of those 3 I mentioned are really creative and most of us will agree they are not up to the standard we want. All are deep lying midfielder(and/or central midfielder), no attacking midfielder. Ozil isn't the ozil we know, mkhi isn't it also. No wonder Arteta is always using 343 to mask the failings of our midfield. We need midfielders, not another cb biko.(for now) |

Again, I have a lot of hopes on Chambers, Holding, Mari and Saliba. If we must add more numbers, they must be of the utmost quality. I do not want us to sign players that will make us hopeful, we need certainty at this point. |
