HELLO NAIRALANDERS,

A friend of mine purchased a plot of land 3 years ago from an agent. he had built a structure on the land, though not completed. this year, he wanted to continue the construction but he was stopped by omo onile who claimed that the land belong to them, that while the agent who was acting on behalf of the other omo onile sold the land the case was in court, that now they the new omo onile had obtained judgement from the court that they are now the rightful owner of the land that my friend have to repurchase the land or lose it. please what should he do? should he repurchase the land or to go to court?

He should ask to see the judgment of the court. After seeing the Judgment of court and the contents favour their assertion, he should go to the court to confirm the judgment is authentic. He should also note that it is possible that the judgment has been appealed against.
