u don't even get it, they are not elected members again ,their seat have been declared vacant since and a letter sent to inec in that regards to conduct bye elections to replace them, they went and challenged the case in court which is still with d federal high court. Until the court decides they are not members and cannot be inaugurated

As far as I know they were never sworn in. The Police Commissioner was in error to have granted them audience and he is therefore partisan. He should resign or be sacked

I beg to differ with with you on the impeachment. Once the Inquiry panel that would be set up by the chief judge find Obaseki and his Deputy guilty of misconduct allegations, and he is impeached he can’t contest the election until the court upturn the impeachment. Section 182 of 1999 constitution as amended stated it clear. It will take almost a year before the court will give judgement on the impeachment will be delivered.
Fayose and Ngige’s Impeachments were upturned by the courts before they were able to contest elections.

2. IF the deputy is unavailable - the state Chief Judge must do so for it to be valid

This then clearly shows that the federal government led by Buhari is behind all the happenings in Edo state,I wonder why buhari could resolve the Edo state assembly debacle while obaseki was still in APC,all these just goes to show the true character of buhari n seriously calls to question whether buhari is really physically capable n truly in charge of the government.

Obaseki lost that underdog card with some of the actions he has taken since the beginning of his administration.

• Swearing-in 10 out of 24 legislators thus barring them from providing the representation for which their people elected them.

• Leading a bunch of renegades within the party to remove the national chairman of the party.

• Various acts of intimidation perpetrated against state legislators and party men considered loyal to the then national chairman of the party and even the chairman himself. This includes the childish action of parking a fully loaded refuse truck in front of the then national chairman's house.

• Banning the then national chairman from visiting Edo State and threatening the national chairman with arrest if he visits Edo State without executive clearance.

• Moving state legislators loyal to him (now only 5) to government house and using thugs to vandalize the State House of Assembly building to prevent the 19 other lawmakers from sitting.

Do all of the above actions and so many more look to you like the actions of a political underdog?

- Why did Southwest support Buhari in 2015?

1 - Because they felt a cabal (Godfathers) was against Jonathan (Underdog)..

How come buharis margin in the whole SW was not up to 500k in 2019.. because that advantage was gone..

Elections are won by numbers. Your foot soldiers will win election and not social media comments. Major chunk of these soldiers are elected and appointed party members. So as it stands now, how many of such are with him ?
