If they succeed in impeaching Obaseki and Shaibu, both of them can challenge the impeachment in court but they must leave government house first. The courts are currently on vacation and will probably hear the petition challenging the impeachment after the elections. Before Obaseki can challenge the impeachment up to the Supreme Court, the new administration may be three years in. But Obaseki's tenure would expire in three months, so will the court reinstate him to serve out the remainder of his term of only three months considering a new governor was validly elected?

Failing to proclaim more than half of the state assembly is sufficient to prepare articles of impeachment against Obaseki.

I really admire Obaseki for doggedness, but he needs to get intelligence on strategy. So far, APC is winning on strategy. If there is a debate between Obaseki and Ize Iyamu, Obaseki had better not attend. Ize Iyamu is eloquent and a well-grounded politician who'd eat Obaseki raw.

Obaseki should go to court to nip the illegal act in the bud.There was no fresh proclamation by d governor , besides the deputy clerk instead of the clerk of the house of assembly was used in that illegal inauguration.....it can never stand.

We should stop talking ignorantly. Why did he put up a fight without having protective instruments? He is fighting godfatherism without brain. Stubbornness without back up.
