Thanks for the insult, even though i know i am right.

Dude i think you misunderstood me.
I literally was in the kainji hydroelectric and also
Kainji Lake administrative office .
okay, I get you but my point is that these two places are not close to each other. You have to take the journey at different day interval.

Have you ever taken a Trip from the administrative office of kainji Lake to Kainji hydroelectric power admin office? You can cover the distance in a day when you leave very early morning its not impossible.

Contrary to popular belief it is not the water that directly produces Electricity.

Electricity is produced by a device called a turbine. Turbines contain metal coils surrounded by magnets. When the magnets spin over the metal coils, electricity is produced. Turbines are located inside dams. The falling water spins the magnets.

Thus, the water only spin the turbines which in turn generates electricity.

Lol. Remove the water and see if you get electricity. It just like a dynamo. Mechanical energy getting converted into electrical energy.

You are right but at the same time wrong in your dissertation, kainji dam is powered by water, it utilizes hydro power to generate electricity, that's why it's called and an hydro electric dam.

All dams that generates electricity are powered by water. Without water they can't generate electricity. It's below capacity and needs to be upgraded, that's why the mambila plateau dam is in the works because it's bigger.

And also has a higher potential to generate more electricity due to its location, turbines installed and commissioned would determine its output.

All the same I think Nigeria has a enough resources to generate enough power including nuclear generated electricity.

My own 4cents though

KLNP!!! The place I did my Youth Service in that very long year ago.

This brought back good memories of my service year there. Can never forget that place, and New Bussa where we had our Corpers' Lodge.

Wonderful host of animals, faunas and floras, good bosses in the office, great friends and unlimited funs at that Army's Friday Night Bash.

Visited also the Kainji Lake Hydroelectric Power Station while there.

Wish to revisit the place one day.

don't mind the idiot, he has no idea about the place. Kanji national park has two places; their office and the park itself( mind you it's located in two different regions, I mean long distance apart. Also the dam is located at another region different from the other two. Niger state is Damn big.

No flight except you charter a jet, they have an air force base for landing.

The office is located at wawa while the park is not more than 3hours journey from the office. So what are you saying? OP is right

The trips to all these locations can surely be accomplished in a day.

I served there for a whole year long time ago, and I had been to all these locations. Though the three locations (the office, the park and the power station) are in three different townships, but you can visit them in a day, as long as you are not on extended stay.

Basic physics na. Those turbines are glorified rotors you find in toys and fans etc.

Surprised peopleactually didn't know this. Enlightenment sha.

He clearly said water spins the turbines, which have magnets and coils. Once water spins the turbines, will the coils and magnets congeal or freeze to produce electricity ni? undecided

Why would you call somebody who has done you no particular harm an Idiot? If you don't agree with his post, just simply ignore or counter it with evidence(s).

Moreso, with what you just posted shows that you don't know the area at all. You can visit all those places within 10hours if you are with a vehicle or Motorcycle.

Kainji Lake National Park Head Office is just opposite the Federal College of Wildlife and just about 2 or 3kms away from the two institutions.

So, watch yourself carefully before you castigate someone on something you are not very sure of.
