You can see the briefcase construction company they gave such an important job to do
I expected the reconstruction to be handled by Julius Berger Nigeria PLC who original constructed the bridge since they are still around. Surprisingly it is being handled by Borini Promo Construction Company.
I hope the company get the job done well.

I can bet my two cents that, this was unwarranted as we will not even notice a significant change in this. Six months was uncalled for.

That company is Borini Prono, an Italian construction giant that has been in operations in Nigeria for decades. They are one of the companies that originally built the Third mainland bridge from the scratch together with Julius Berger and PGH.. They are not 'briefcase' construction company as you have stated.

I can't even see their name except that faded logo on the truck.
Hope this bridge will not collapse because of incompetency?

LMAO @Briefcase Construction company! grin grin

But seriously, these fools should go and learn current, modern ways of doing such repairs and maintenance that doesnot involve shutting down the bridge entirely!
There are ways to mitigate against such expansion at the joints with an overlapping flange and it will be done one by one, at night without the need to completely close down the bridge, all within 20days.

The underlying logic in Everything in Nigeria is CORRUPTION, not that they dont know the correct thing to do. undecided

Nigerian and black African leaders are all mad and wicked!

3rd Mainland Bridge is tired, weak and due for artificial collapse, what a honorable government ought to do is to construct alternative bridge and destroy this death trap of a bridge and erect an entirely new Bridge.

The life span of a bridge is 50 years on a normal usage, but this is Nigeria, don't wait till it is 50 years old before it swallows innocent people's lives and assets crossing the bridge.

Also, River Niger bridge between Asaba and Onitsha ought to have been collapsed by government so many years ago.

Until it collapses and kill people, devilish Nigerian government controlled by northern Muslim cultists won't bath an eyelid angry
stop saying rubbish. The life span of a bridge is 70-100 years. So because of that you want to demolish the whole structure

You people think it's easy to form construction company?
You go and buy all the high tech tools and keep in your storage abi? And you staff will not steal the tools? in these hard times?
Just encourage them.
The fact that Westerners or Chinese can do a better job does not mean you will sell your country to them to do the better job.
They will kukuma kick you out of your own country.
Is it his encouragement they need to fix d bridge or is d construction company not collecting it's pay?

Borini Prono constructed 3MB up to Adekunle side and Pres. Babangida had to be begged for Julius Berger to finish the bridge to Iyana Oworo.

More of Borini Prono equipment is located under the bridge at Adeniji side
