I'm sorry for posting it in this section. The other ones aren't active.

I'm a bit confused how this game is a checkmate. I'm the white player.

King has been boxed, he can't move and no official can kill the knight who placed your king on check

It a check mate,
Why did you allow your king get to such compromising situation?
Always take out the knight with your bishop as soon as you see your opponent making attack with it, because knights are difficult to defend against in an attacking position because of their deceptive movements. People think the queen and rook are the most powerful and dangerous but i think the knight is.
Good luck next time.

It's called smothered mate.

Beginners often fall victim of things like this.

Next time, develop your pieces. Study theoretical opening lines(for white and black). And practice.

Perfect your middle and endgame. Read books (I've got them plenty). Join a chess platform (e.g Lichess, Chess24) to play against other chess players around the world and get stronger.

But remember, study and practice. Success.

LOL! This is funny! Don't say this outside o.
Actually, the Queen remains the most valuable piece in chess. While the knight is the least of all the pieces except the pawns.

No beginners dey value Knights. With a bishop pair, you're guaranteed of success. However, the values of pieces also depends on the position.

Study chess.

Just Google.
Check :Play like a grandmaster, Train like grandmaster. Both books are written by Alexander kotov(tho one is more complex than the other. Can't remember)
Art of Attack by vukovic

Also check books on Tactics and Positional Strategy.

In fact, all beginner start with/should know tactics.

Nice.
Agadmator
Suren
And Mato Jelic are my favorite chess youtubers. But I started with Mato because he had so many videos on attacking chess, which is my style.

Also have a role model. Mine are Mikhail Tal and Bobby Fischer and study their games.
