ATTACK

AubaMeyang 9.5/10. I would've scored him 10/10 if he had scored another goal vs Watford to level with Vardy on the last day of EPL action. He has been consistent in his goal scoring form, he has justified why he was signed despite Arsenal buying Lacazette for good money. I will always rate him above Lacazette as far as goal scoring is concerned. I understand Arsenal not playing in the champions league may affect his decision to sign or not to sign a new contract, but one thing is sure we didn't waste money signing him. Seeing him score as much as 22 EPL goals playing on the left flank shows how good he is as a forward

Martinelli 6.5/10. I remember referring to him as Nobodyinho the Brazilian cos at a time we needed a well established winger whom we expected to push our attack the management decided to get us a fairly unknown Brazilian teenager whom most of us have never heard of before.... Well fast forward to last days of Mr Good Ebening have was like the only spark in the team at that time and did everything to give good account of himself. Prior to his injury under Arteta he still performed well, in fact his goal vs Chelsea is the goal I will award the best individual goal of the season. I hope he comes back better after the injury

Saka :8/10. Bukayo for me is the revelation of the season from playing LB, LWB, RW I must cinfrdd he has been quite impressive not just amongst his peers but also his seniors. His goals, crosses and even assists show the quality and potentials he has. I sincerely hope he doesn't get derailed by injuries or fatigue.

Nelson : 4.5/10. I'm not yet convinced about his quality. I want to see him bet his marker with ball at his feet, I want to see him do something other than sprinting past the corner line.....He needs to do more if he would be taken serious.

Pepe: 6.5/10. His start to life in the EPL was rough and his performance affected by the burden that comes with his price tag. Nonetheless he didn't give up on himself and seem to be adjusting towards the concluding part of the season. While I find fault in his kind of wing play which is not direct and swift as much as I would want, pepe seem to have improved greatly on his shooting ability as evidenced by his goal vs Brighton and the one disallowed vs Chelsea. I also think he should be allowed to play more free kicks as against Ceballos and Lacazette always wanting to do the honors.

Nketiah :4.5/10. The young lad still has a lot to learn particularly his first touch and finishing. Without this Martinelli will come back from injury and still find a way to push him to the bench. I know it may sound ridiculous but I don't mind having him go on a short term loan again

Lacazette : 6.5/10. I don't know why, I just feel this guy will play really well in a team set up like Athletico Madrid. He played well for us this season, but I don't see him leading Arsenal's frontline without any other person scoring as much as Auba is doing. If we make him top 9 I see us having goal drought once in a while

It's not even about him signing or not. It's about the kind of set up Laca fits into and indications that somebody somewhere in Athletico sees it the same way I'm seeing it

Reject a top club, UCL, better wage, for arsenal.

You must rate yourself very highly.
Chelsea is not a top club. Top clubs don't get humiliated in a champions League match like that....

Was barca a top club then when Bayern humiliated them 7-0 on aggregate?

If he leaves definitely a new striker will be signed. Lacazette has had his time and honestly he was below par. He didn't live up to the hype around him when we signed him. I don't know what u think about him but for Auba to come from Bundesliga and win Arsenal's top striker in two consecutive seasons it speaks a lot about his quality over Laca and we can always do without Laca.

For the records, Auba has played 85 Epl matches with 54 goals to show for it while Lacazette played 97 games with goal returns of 37.

I am not opposed to selling Lacazette but we need a replacement first. Unless we want to continue whining... undecided

I am also not opposed to replacing him. It is only normal to replace a top striker once he's sold

I suggest we leave Lacazette till next season after we have qualified for CL then sell him. Replacing Lacazette now will be difficult and expensive.

Lacazette has always been overrated. Martinelli will replace and surpass him easily if he can stay fit.

Sell Lacazette and give more minutes to Martinelli and Saka next season. Use Lacazette money to improve the defence and CM.

I leave that brainstorming to people who are paid to fly all over Europe and the Americas to scout top quality players for the club.

Auba, Pepe, Saka, Martinelli, Nketiah, Nelson. You guys won't miss that hyena Lacazette.

Use the money to improve your defence and CM. There are many decent CBs available now for small money cos of COVID.

Most fans just refuse to acknowledge this fact. Lacazette is not a 20 EPL goal per season and I doubt he will ever be even if Auba leaves.

You need to learn to throw off some over paid players stop the pitying game it got arsenal here.
I don't see why martinelli that had more goals than lacazette before his injury playing on the wing can't replace or surpass him. I will gladly take nketiah too so that auba can be the main CF then create space for real wingers

I concur,

Guys don’t always take a holistic approach when analysing a players performance. He’s a CF so let’s rate him with just goals shocked . The presence of Laca and Pepe in the front line help create space for Auba.
Auba doesn’t do well in tight situations reason he can hardly score the kind of goals Laca scores, reasons he hardly scores when being focused on by defenders.

Pepe and Laca pull defenders to themselves to create space for him (Auba) to run into reason he does most of the scorings and y’all begin to look at others like they are not performing.

It’s like telling Klopp to sell Firminho since he’s the CF but Mané and Sala out score him and watch their attack crumble.

I just watch and laugh when guys think CB is not a pressing issue at the Emirates. We have enough fire power upfront. Just one quality CB, CM/DM like Partey, have Ceballos deal made permanent and we should be looking solid.

Proceeds from sale of players like Mkhi and possibly Ozil should also go a long way

How many goals does Firminho score per season at Liverpool. And I don’t see fans call him over rated.
When Neymar was at Barca, I doubt Suarez out scores Neymar and Messi. You need a rugged CF in 4-3-3.
You need a Lacazette in a 4-3-3 unless we are switching formation next season.

I doubt if athletico Madrid will agree to those terms, those guys are really stubborn when it comes to negotiation, according to several report athletico Madrid told us that it is either we pay Thomas partey release clause or we fvck off
