Someone just used my moniker to scam on another thread which involved three people: The victim, The escrow(the one that used my moniker) and the buyer. They did the transaction via WhatsApp and when the victim asked what the escrow moniker was, he said AROFX(which is my moniker). The victim went ahead without doing any verification here on nairaland and now he was scammed. I have been accused wrongly and i hope my MONIKER is cleared of this very soon because it's traumatizing.

Just do a normal name search using any keyword. Under the search box you'll see filter with "relevance" in front of it, Click on "relevance" and you'll see other options, "new arrivals" should be among those options.

Its not an error. The date shown was the day the domain was first submitted on the platform.

Your instinct can only decide that. However, I'd advise you leave for them to review again. I have submitted two names like that which was later approved

About the 0.99 offer, I don't think I qualify for that even though I've never register a name with them.

I opened the account around 2015 when a friend told me about domaining. I didn't take it serious so i abandon the account. I only reactivated it recently.

You should still be qualify to get it at 0.99 provided you have not use your card with them before. It does not mean when account was opened. Go ahead and try there is no police for that. Cheers.

But whenever I try, godaddy will add an additional year. And if I select just 1 year, it goes back to $9.99.

Try to remove the other one year from your cart and checkout.

When I submit a name that has a relevance keyword in their market i.e a popular keyword in their marketplace, it takes just 24 hours for them to accept or reject it. Some keywords like pay, bold, bloom, perk, ignite, tiger, fox and all...
When I submit a name and they want to accept it, it won't take them more than 24 hours. Now these days, if I submit a name and they don't accept it under 24hours, I will delete it and move on ( seems like a bad idea). Sometimes they will leave one of my names and keep rejecting two and leave the third one Las Las they will reject it. . .
Their are some names that I do shortlist, but I will just wake up and find it in new arrival, that thing do pain me. But I'm sure if I was the one that do submitted those names, it will be auto reject for me...

You can't. Reg for 1 year only: $9.99, for 2 years: $0.99 1st year plus year 2 = around $17.

So I have been able to submit 3 unregistered names to SH although they are still pending and I am not anxious to know that having read on this thread that it takes time before most names are reviewed. I am looking forward to updating every now and then.

Hello bosses, Happy Sunday to y'all. Please I saw an expired domain and went Wayback only to discover that it has been used by a furniture company in Singapore. Kindly advise if it would be okay to register it and then outbound it to that company. By registering, do i still have to follow the same procedures on squad help (With the way they delay in processing)


EDIT: I just discovered the company actually adopted a new name hence the reason they allowed it to drop.... What do you think?
