Good day all. I'm having serious problem with my wife's Redmi 7 phone. I saw a notification for update and i downloaded the updates. After downloading, i tried to install it. Ever since then, the phone has been showing fastboot for some hours now.

The screen will go off and automatically restart with the same Fastboot showing. Please i need urgent help on what to do. Thanks as i await your response.

Modified: Note i didn't touch the phone or try to reboot it. I'm not a novice to it because i do update my redmi 8 on several occasions.

Ah!!! Hahahaha its gone, better go and get another device. The exact same thing that happened to my xiaomi way back. I said that updates are not for xiaomi or any chinko phone everyone eas bashing me accusing me of being a marketer. The update has consumed the allocated rams and we all know chinko phones sucks are ram management. Unless u can take the os back to previous one that phone is dead. How can u even downgrade it when it cannot boot anyway. Chinko will always be chinko.

forwhere it won't work. A repairman will even convince him to buy memory card and it will more waste of money. Xiaomi are good phones but do not ever try updating to a latest OS. My phone was working all perfectly with full speed i never expected that any update could harm it.

I just did exactly this and the phone came back to normal coupled with the new update. Now everything is working normal and it feels like a new phone. Thanks alot for your concern. I'm really grateful

I want to update mine but I am scared

Best thing is to ask if anyone got similar experience. Then you can take the option that best suits you. Meanwhile, my phone is back to normal....with the new update installed.
