I concur,

Guys don’t always take a holistic approach when analysing a players performance. He’s a CF so let’s rate him with just goals shocked . The presence of Laca and Pepe in the front line help create space for Auba.
Auba doesn’t do well in tight situations reason he can hardly score the kind of goals Laca scores, reasons he hardly scores when being focused on by defenders.

Pepe and Laca pull defenders to themselves to create space for him (Auba) to run into reason he does most of the scorings and y’all begin to look at others like they are not performing.

It’s like telling Klopp to sell Firminho since he’s the CF but Mané and Sala out score him and watch their attack crumble.
1. Do you know Auba scores with or without Lacazette on the pitch?

2. How many times has lacazette scored those "Lacazette kinda goals?

3. Below is a link to 20 of Auba's goals this season. Take your time and watch and count the number of times Lacazette was spotted pulling defenders towards himself for Auba to make a run and score.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iWOBgoFx8M

4. In fact, Saka and Pepe had more contributions to Auba's goals than Lacazette ever did this season. Sorry u can't tie Auba's brilliance to Laca's constant no show abeg

I suggest we leave Lacazette till next season after we have qualified for CL then sell him. Replacing Lacazette now will be difficult and expensive.
I don't think our main priority is to replace lacazette with another striker when we still need to cover other important positions in the squad, besides bringing another striker will affect nketiah and martinelli development in the long run.

I'm very comfortable going into next season with abuameyang as our CF and nketiah as his back up untill martinelli is back, we need to find balance in this team and the presence of lacazette is inhibiting that process, if we sign a very good striker, it means abuameyang will be forced to play LW again, and we all know how mediocre abuameyang is without his goals in that position.

How many goals does Firminho score per season at Liverpool. And I don’t see fans call him over rated.
When Neymar was at Barca, I doubt Suarez out scores Neymar and Messi. You need a rugged CF in 4-3-3.
You need a Lacazette in a 4-3-3 unless we are switching formation next season.
You clearly don't know how tight and effective MSN was. For your information Suarez outscored Neymar and was also outscored by the GOAT messi. Suarez is a performer and not a choker like Lacazette.

I don't think u listen to sports programme wella, I've listened to sports radio on programme with people calling Firminho a fraud.

If we need Lacazette, then he should start scoring. By the way Saka, dem pepe even contribute more to goals when on the pitch than this Lacazette sef undecided

In the build up to most of those goals, u can see how free Auba was most times. Pepe does some of these pullings, Laca does too when he plays. I’m just stating what I’ve noticed.
There was a time some rated Laca for scoring the hard goals here and helping us in difficult situations while hoping we sell Auba cos he scores only tap-ins.
Y’all have switched sides again.

I repeat selling Laca right now is not necessary, with Willian joining we’ve got more options on the wing. We need just 3 players. A CB,DM and AM 150M can sort this, selling Ozil, Guen, Mikki, and adding 80M can sort it. We don’t have to sell Laca this season we are in europa we need all the options we can get. My 2 cents.

I just watch and laugh when guys think CB is not a pressing issue at the Emirates. We have enough fire power upfront . Just one quality CB, CM/DM like Partey, have Ceballos deal made permanent and we should be looking solid.

Proceeds from sale of players like Mkhi and possibly Ozil should also go a long way
did you watch that our match against Aston Villa ? cheesy

To start with firminho is a winger klopp used him in cd cos of his hold up and ability to dribble can lacazette do any apart from gidigbo and come to midfield to compete with DM

Can we both agree we need just 3 areas to fix, a CB, a DM and AM. Are u saying we can’t fix these areas without selling Laca?
I just don’t want us disturbing the frontline if it ain’t broken why fix it? Martinelli is injured, Nketiah should be transitioned steadily to help his growth else u overburden him, there’s lot of competition to play next season and with the season starting late, fixtures could be cramped.

Just saying.

There are lots of deadwood to sell and Laca doesn’t top the list for me, lots of funny names that I’ll find difficult to spell in our back line that enjoyed free money last season, Ozil should be shipped too (at least that saves the wage bill), Mikki, Guen, if we get someone to buy Willock sell ( he’s not a footballer) . Not Laca at least not this window.

Are you okay with auba playing on the wing limiting his scoring chances and wasting the left flank?

in the real sense Auba doesn’t play on the wings, Laca drops deep to give space to drift in, most times when they play together Laca plays more like an SS.

However they don’t always have to play together, we need squad depth and selling Laca at this time is not a necessity. We have Europa, EPL, FA cup and EFL then we have injury.

The bolded cracked me up...

Without selling Lacazette, one would expect that a club like Arsenal should be able to at least make available £150m to the coach to strengthen especially after he has shown that he knows what he is doing...

Sokratis, Kolasinac, Mustafi and Ozil should be sold instead if Arsenal must sell...

I don't want Liverpool or Man City strolling to the title next season, let the traditional power houses rise...

I think u need to go back to the Genesis of this discourse.

I posted a rumored Laca exit-story that clearly says...." The Frenchman will be allowed to leave once Aubameyang re-signs at Emirates"....

I referenced my post last week in which I talked about Laca well suited for Athleti’s style of play than Arsenal’s.

I don’t think the post claimed Lacazette must be sold or shipped out, rather the post by goal is suggesting he will be allowed to leave which means he will probably not be favored as first choice. He definitely won’t be happy on the bench.

And yes I believe we can always do without his style of play that yields lesser goals as a top 9.

As for scoring Tap-in goals I will gladly wait for u to dig up posts showing me disrespecting Auba for scoring Tap-ins. You are probably confusing me for someone else

even if we get a ball playing CM, our attack will still be predictable if abuameyang is playing from the left wing

...have you forgotten how useless abuameyang is when he try to take on players ? undecided

.... abuameyang is a goal poacher which means that even if he plays as a CB, he will still find the back of the net, and that is the primary role of a CF, so please we should not waste that man talent all in the name of accommodating a £50 million poor man Giroud.

we need to have a deadly attacking front like Liverpool or man city, all this sympathy for medicore players will only cement our position as a mid table team

lol these talk about a player not being happy on bench is only peculiar with arsenal fans, reason we are where we are. City has players on bench that will walk into starting lineups of some top teams, same with Barca, PSG, Real Madrid. Squad Depth wins you trophies, it’s not a cup tournament of less than 10 fixtures for us, it’s a season of over 50 fixtures for us. AMN won’t be happy on bench, sell him, same with Laca, that’s how we sold Gnabry. Then we have a first 11 with useless players on bench that can change things if game ain’t going as planned

Lol I’m just being realistic, 150M shouldn’t be an issue to raise while we sell these lots listed. Auba is over 30, God forbid he gets injured or fatigue sets in and he drops form. Then u force Nketiah to shoulder the responsibility of EPL, EFL, Europa and FA competitions. That’s where our season will nosedive.

I never said it was u, I said “some”.
the idea was quite popular here at the time, I just read and pass. Some fans here fought tooth and nail to defend Emery earlier in the season while casting aspersions on the senior players and almost concluded we summarily execute all senior players and play only youth for the rest of the season. In the end how many “yoots” turned up for us this season. I’m just pointing out how fickle fans can be sometimes. Selling Laca is not the priority in this window.

I really do not understand where you are coming from. I don't remember me saying Auba should be shunted to the left side of Attack. I am one of the main advocates of Auba here because he has always delivered no matter where he is playing in our attack.

Maybe u need to watch the video I posted up there again and see some of the goals Auba actually scored from the left wings before talking about his predictability on the left wing.

Come on guys..
Sell lacazette?
I know he's been underwhelming for a long time, but we need squad depth. Nketiah and martinelli aren't ready for the first team role to carry us through in case something happens to auba. Come on, lacazette and Amn ought to be the least of people shown out of the door.
Elneny, sokratis, mkhi, ozil, kolasinac mustafi guen needs to be the one up for sale and the others kept for squad depth before thinking of those two. Since Willian is incoming, let laca be on the bench, he can be rotating once in a while and not solely on the bench.

Please o, we need good squad depth. Liverpool has origi, man city has Jesus, man u have ighalo (plus other varieties who can play 9), Chelsea are even surplus in the 9 department.

We na still teenagers we get...
Please, they better not sell laca except their hands are forced to..
