Apple cut them off cos they're not selling their subscription services (game pass) through their (Apple) payment system which is against their policy, even if said item is a fetime pass.

Also don't forget Apple is notorious for blocking popular apps which offers "Apple-worthy" qualities for free on app store.

I'm guessing the share apple wanted to take from the money coming in was high,it reminds me of what happened between apple and Spotify
It all still comes down to apple trying to kill competitions for the apple at arcade,like they tried to do with apple music.

Apple arcade shows Apple lack of knowledge about the gaming community and their greedy side which fanboys are justifying with excuses of compromising iOS security (that's the excuse Apple gave before Microsoft confirmed it).

They launched it as a cloud gaming service but one gotta download the game before playing, defeating its initial purpose and most of those games are pathetic if you ask me.
I pity the devs who agreed to work on this.
