What is a Cryptocurrency Wallet? We use conventional wallets for storing money. And in some cases, they double as a cardholder. A cryptocurrency wallet is similar, but in this case, it stores digital money. And to store your digital assets securely, certain features need to be in place. Unfortunately, not all wallets are secure. We have two broad categories of wallets: Full Node and SPV Wallets. SPV Wallet is further divided into Hot Wallet and Cold Wallets. Cold Wallets are more secure since they offline. In contrast, Hot Wallets are not as secure and are less expensive than Cold Wallets. This is due to their online nature which makes them susceptible to remote attacks. Why do You Need A Cryptocurrency Wallet? Security! Let me explain: Storing your digital currencies on an exchange platform exposes your assets to risks. If the exchange gets hacked, you lose everything! Since an exchange operates via an online structure, they run a risk of getting hacked. We've had a lot of hacks in the crypto world: Most recently, was the Italian cryptocurrency firm, Altsbit, which occurred in February 2020. Altsbit lost over $70,000 worth of cryptocurrency. A lot of traders lost huge sums due to this attack. What's my point? In as much it is convenient to trade on exchanges, it is not a good option for holding cryptocurrencies. It is much safer to trade in chunks from your wallet, instead of risking it all on exchanges. You should never store your digital assets on an exchange! Now we've gotten that out of the way, what are the best cryptocurrency wallet apps in Nigeria? 1. Blockchain Wallet 2. Luno Wallet 3. Coinbase Wallet 4. Trust Wallet 5. Buycoins Wallet 6. Quidax Wallet 7. Remitano Wallet 8. Paxful Wallet 9. Busha Wallet 10. Patricia Wallet To get a complete overview, pros, cons, and safety tips on cryptocurrencies, then Click HERE 1 Like 1 Share |

chibuike65:Luno has some good security features in place. But since it's also an exchange platform, it's is not as secure as pure wallets. There are other options which you can check out here |

Marius50: Even on a Sunday, u still wake up with your criminal mentality. I went through your posts, first u tried scamming people by acting as an Ecurrency Exchanger but u didn't succeed, later u switched to asking people for their Diamond and Union Bank MasterCard so u can use it to cash out your fraudulent money, guess that one didn't pay off, now, u came back with another logic of begging for money for hospital bills and u shot yourself in the leg by dropping a Bitcoin wallet for people that want to assist u to pay into.Who does that? What happened to your bank account? May God have mercy on you, and just so u know, even the dumbest person here on Nairaland that wanted helping u will run away immediately he sees Bitcoin wallet as mode of payment. 1 Like |
