Nigeria is dying really fast, just imagine people celebrating on nairaland because the government has found a way to stifle public opinion, with the scare of 5 million naira. time will come when those who celebrate today won't have the mouth to speak for themselves.

All these show of image-attacks are being sponsored by people who want to destabilize the South-West camp against the 2023 presidential election. They attack and condemn the capabilities of all Yoruba likely candidate from Tinubu to Fashola to Osinbajo et all. One was even asking what Asiwaju Tinubu did in office and there was another time another was asking what Fashola did in office. Yet, when you ask them how the miracle came about that Lagos was a lot better than in 1999 before the administration of Ambode in term of infrastructure, polity, financial capability, technological capability, health-care and ease of doing business hence the oceans of start-ups doing great in the land, they get dumb and began a goalpost shift.
We just need to let them continue in their wailing. They can't stop our stride. They've never supported our interest, so why must we be afraid of their hate now? Come 2023, we'll still trump them.
Long live Lagos State
Long live all south west states
Long live all the well-meaning Omoluabis

That's why many citizens who want to protect their integrity stay away from the politics. We're the ones complaining that we're being governed by criminals or at least by people with questionable character, now we try to drag the names of few upright among them in the mud. What do we stand to gain in all these? Chasing people with fair characteristics away from the politics hurts everybody

You don't accuse people of wrong doing when you don't have have evidence my friend. They apologised not because they were scared but because they knew that it was baseless, because they didn't have proof

They should also return the money they made for selling fake news to the public back to the VP. Why fabricate news at all against a high profile personality? Don't you people have investigative journalists in your news agency?

All the stealing and embezzlement going on in Nigeria for years how many do you have proof for, or we should just take it that non of it happened?. Most of this sayings are public opinion, and it should warrant the appropriate authorities to investigate, but instead they stifle the opinion of the public with 5 million naira fine because it is against their interest. For instance what have CNN not said about Trump, even accusing him of alliance with Russia, but still he didn't stifle their reportage, instead it lead to intense investigation.

Ok let's see now, you people should continue being delusional, Osibanjo should enjoy the seed his evil party sowed that brought him to power, he should stop forming nonsense integrity.

There's no honour among thieves, if he had any honour as he is forming, he would have long resigned from this evil government.

Don't fool yourself, they apologized because they know government will slam them with 5 million naira fine, not because it was fake news, fg is busy killing anything like public opinion, and you are here celebrating mediocrity.

Question is did Osinbajo put himself there? Remember politics is strictly pari paso, osinbajo sadly takes orders from burdillion and does whatever is asked of him without hesitation.
Na wa. Thread is about an apology to the VP for fake news peddled against him and has nothing to do with Bourdillon but you must find a way link it to it. Learn to stay objective please. Feel free to start a new thread on Bourdillon.

It is still what it is no matter how you spin it, if you accuse anyone of wrong doing without proof, you're jail bound. We have law for a reason.
Concerning Trump, he couldn't gag the media because there is evidence against him but he his using his power to frustrate the case against him.
Why would you alleged when you don't have evidence? That's a recipe for chaos

Jonathan took insults as president more than anyone else

He was even physically attacked when he went to campaign in the north

Yet, he didn't retaliate

He just said that he was the most insulted president in the world

My question to you is, have corruption been happening in Nigeria for ages? if yes where are the proof? most of this reportage are public opinion, that should lead to intense investigation, but instead it lead to stifling of opinions of the public. now politicians are licensed to steal, as far as there are no proof you are good to go. for instance the man that came to talk of the killings in kaduna, he said what everyone already knows but instead of investigating and sanctioning the man if necessary, they went after the media house in order to stifle the media and send message to other media houses. I am still saying it many media houses will recant their earlier postage and stop posting anything meaningful against the government not because of the lack of proof but because of the fear of 5 million naira, moreover ganduje was caught on camera and the federal government still supported him. This one is just small just wait till campaign period and see how they will be slamming people 5 million naira fine. When you say or report what is happening in the military they will slam you 5m, when you say or report what is happening in the economy they will slam you 5m, when you say or report what is happening in aso rock they will slam you 5m, when you say or report how your people are being killed they slam you 5m. NiggarArea (Nigeria) is really now in big problem.
Re: BusinessDay Apologises For Fake News Against Osinbajo by TrebleChamp(m): 9:16am On Aug 14, 2020
Some of you here are getting the report wrong, the fake news was not sponsored by BusinessDay or Punch and Vanguard earlier. It was sponsored by individual/s and published by this Media houses after payment as it is done everywhere. Every newspaper companies do publish sponsored report but the sensible ones would have done proper investigation before going ahead to publish regardless of how much the sponsor is willing to pay. Am guessing the Newspapers are now retracting and apologising because they have found the report sponsored and published on their papers are false. Many Nigerian businesses are more profit oriented rather than proper customer satisfaction...

You are the one pathetic here. Obasanjo wrote a letter personally signed by him to GEJ. How can that one be fake news, till today GEJ did not ask OBJ to retreat that statement. Use your brain mr. Man.

Seems like you are the one bereft of "current" sense. Only if you had bothered to read some news other than wasting your life checking updates of big brother you would have noticed the new disgraceful laws by NBC! This government is proven to use intimidation tactics a lot on whistle blowers or anyone bold enough to challenge them or call them out.
