Eri, the progenitor of Igbo race is a descendant of Idu in Igodomigodo. Idu is the progenitor of Igodomigodo indigenous people in present day Edo State and the progenitor of Igbo race. Igodo is the key and majority of the villages and towns where Idu descendants reside are mostly prefixed with Idu. For example, Iganke (idumuishi, idumuiru, iduwebo etc).
Ika (Idumute, idumobior, idumuech, Idumoza etc).
Uromi (idumobodo, Obe-Idu, Idumoza etc).
Ekpoma (Idumuebo)
Benin (iduneka, Iduneha, Iduogo etc).
Anambra ( Idu Obu - Gad palace in Enugwu Aguleri, the seat of the ancient Eri kingdom.
Imueze in Anambra, all Idu descendants. Onitcha Ado na Idu etc).

This is just to mention few, it is pertinent to note that the ''Igbos" are from Edo State, Igodomigodo.
