Without an iota of doubt, the overwhelming differences in visual representation are basically beyond crystal clear, but when it comes right down to the actual animation and, you know, eliciting emotionally realistic responses, The Lion King 1994 leaves The Lion King 2019 in the dust.

1994 was when there was still a level of purity and conscience in the children film world.

2019 has been corrupted with illuminati, perversions and ill biased motives.

Am waiting for Mulan... Lemme see if they will ruin it too like they did to Alladin

Did my best to put specific screenshots from both movies side-by-side. Hope you like it. Do feel free to let me know what your thoughts are.

In case it's unclear, the top frames are from The Lion King 1994 while the bottom ones come from The Lion King 2019.

I'm probably the only one who thinks that The Lion King 1994 didn't need any remake whatsoever.

Not trying to dismiss The Lion King 2019 in any way at all. Just stating the obvious.

Granted, the latter had gorgeous graphical representation, but the former will always have a place in my heart for all those tantalizing, heartbreaking, amazingly realistic responses.

The Lion King 1994 will be eternally etched in the history books as one of the best (If not the very best) animation movies to grace our screens.

The Lion King 2019 was just another massive money making avenue for Disney.

Even the voice acting is utterly unmatched.

For me, the only tangible thing about The Lion King 2019 is the graphics.

Other than that, The Lion King 1994 is surpassingly superior.

In the end, one man's meat might mean poison for the other person, so I guess it all boils down to our drastically different personal preferences.

so true,just like Will Smith's version of Alladin,thou cute but not that cute...gone are those good old days of children cartoons,the likes of ALIX,Zeta project,Pinky and the Brain e.t.c I MISS GROWING UP AS A CHILD

No matter how good a remake is people will still prefer the original. Maybe is nostalgia. Lion king 1994 remains my favorite Disney movie.

I think Chinwetalu Ejiofor did a fantastic job voicing Scar. I love the 'Be Prepared' score which he did like a pro. Prior to this, I had no idea Ejiofor can sing.

I completely concur. He was clearly the only exception. Can't believe I forgot to point that out. His singing was surprisingly superb.

More like trying to fix what isn't broken in any way at all. Disney's just about the cash at this point.

Sad they don't seem to have any more creative muscles left to flex and come up with original orchestrations (that'd even bring in more money). A whole Disney! Pathetic.

They really should be absolutely ashamed of themselves with all these rubbish recyclings.

1994 version does it for me. 2019 version too is okay but I prefer the old version. The voice and antics of Simba, Timon and pumba, kovo etc were epic and very nostalgic. even till today weneva I remember.


I really appreciate d latter version BUT THE 1994 VERSION IS THE BETTER ONE FOR ME.
