Was really glad to know about NairaLand for basically,Nigerians are not into the blog thing.
Anyway,this is my major problem with Nigerians in Nigeria or as i say "my fellow naijans"
How come no one has ever thought of having our local TV stations on P2P broadcast softwares?
we have so many of them out there and to broadcast from Nigeria wont cost a thing for the services are basically free unless you set it up as PPV.
There's TVU player,Sopcast,Veetle etc,and they have all sorts of countries there but my beloved "Giant of Africa" isn't.
I would say that is a big shame for Ghanainas are rubbing our faces in the sand and we are smiling happily while they are doing it.
Ghana has at least 2 live tv Stations running on TVU player and guess what! they show nothing but nigerian movies(because they are based in the states) but you have somalia,kenya,indonesia etc showing live local tv stations so their fellow citizens outside the respective countries can view what is going on live in their country of origin
all it takes is a dedicated mind to set this up and we all will see how well whoever does it will be.
even if i could subscribe on cable providers here,I wouldnt mind but Nigerian TV owners are not smart enough to see the gold mine in that
