Just imagine! So this is the reason why Rotimi Amaechi was saying probing the contract will lead to withdrawal by the Chinese? This still confirm that everyone is stealing without shame under this government.
This further proves bubu is incapacitated.

“We have noticed from documents available to us that commercial contracts process signed by Federal Ministry of Transport alone within this is over $33 billion without any clear cut financing arrangements. Most of these commercial contracts agreements didn’t also have local content clauses and we’re witnessed by none properly designated and authorised officials.

I don’t understand this whole charade by the NASS. I thought someone in the front page will intelligently ask this question but no it is the usual Buhari and politician insults as if that will solve the issue. My question is this: My little knowledge of congressional working tells me that whenever an international loan is to be taken, the Congress is supposed to be furnished with the details and the reasons of taking such a loan which will be deliberated upon and then put into a simple voice vote. How come they missed all the specifics and voted for in favor of its approval and then turn back to still question what they wasted hours in deliberating and even forwarded to a subcommittee for further deliberation before final discussion in the house and approval. Something isn’t right somewhere. It’s either these men and women in NASS hurriedly past the approval of the loan request made by the Executive without reading the specifics or in their usual fashion they collected money for it to scale through without bothering about the specifics and now some members who didn’t partake in the “lobbied funds” are now asking questions. In a saner clime this can cause the initiation of impeachment proceedings against the President but it seems the latter seems to be the case that’s why NASS hasn’t even called for an emergency section and public inquiry on the issue as serious as this.
..that is because the loan was approved by the 8th assembly of the house...while those probing are the 9th assembly..

The way IMF and Paris Club end up forgiving Nigeria debt, that is how it will be with China Las Las. They cannot and will never seize any of our national assets.

That means you know nothing about China.

Same China that are already taking over Zambia assets

Corruption under Buhari is more than 10 times that of Jonathan. With Buhari in power, looting has been made very easy
if you know you know! As long as you are loyal to bubu and the cabal, you can loot and 'clean mouth'.

Jona borrowed $800M, So to improve, this govt agreed to double the figure. Ammmmaaaaazzzziiiiinnnnggggggg

"But the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi said there was such contract existing in the Ministry as the only contract was the $1.6 billion loan for the Lagos/Ibadan rail project signed by the Buhari government and the about $800 million dollars loan signed by the Jonathan government."

Chinese government currently taking over some properties in Zambia due to heavy loans and inability of satisfying clauses in loan agreement,

Nigeria should prepare for harmattan day because China are not stupid, despite bringing their companies and equipment's to execute our so called loans infrastructures.

When people were running up and down for this government to be reelected last year, 2019, wisdom and knowledge didn't show to them that this government is unelectable. Nigerians are getting what they hunger and crave for. This is the worst government this nation has ever seen.

Now this is a more valid, reasonable argument than saying the country was sold. Now Rotimi should address these issues and explain why he failed to follow due process.

Btw I have good knowledge of how this things work because I worked with a NASS member for some years. This shouldn’t be an APC or PDP or even Buhari regime thing but something in which the masses should be asking questions but instead it has resulted into the usual General Buhari regime bashing thereby giving these guys an escape route on the matter on ground while we are all overtaken by new events soon.

Why pretend as if you were not in the country when the Senate President brow beat all his colleagues into saying aye when it was clear quite a number disapproved.

Were you not here when the Senate President 'vowed' to approve any paper that came to the Upper House from the Executive tagged 'Economic Development' then asking questions later. Were you not here when he threw shades at his predecessor SP Bukoka Saraki as being the architect of Mr. President's lack of impetus his first term.

Were you not in Nigeria when the APC media onslaught threatened anyone who opposed wanton approvals and ridiculous rubber stamping as an 'economic saboteur'.

What I and other well meaning citizens find absolutely irritating in all these insinuations by folks like you is that we were damned in stating our reservations and are now damned for not doing anything to oppose these treacherous folks in goverment hell bent in ruining this country. It is not fair and we do not deserve to suffer for what we warned about day in day out.

Like it or not, hindsight or not. In just two years Bukola Saraki has proven to be a far, far better Senate President than the absolute failure we have there right now who cannot discern between his duties to Nigeria and the institution he heads and his loyalty to one single individual in the Presidency.

He has forgotten that he is called a President. A very weighty title the failure of which aptly describes the mess we are in. A Senate President who doesn't recognise his status of and the responsibility to the people it connotes is useless to democracy.

In other climes, some people would have voluntarily resigned in the interest of the state. But we have a legislative arm that functions as a rubber stamp of the executive.
