Forget government appointment and become an entrepreneur.
Then if you want that influence, government influence, it shouldn't be much of a problem.

You don't get a government job by just "Wondering" - but you can get a government by applying for available positions that you're qualified for and then IF YOU'RE LUCKY ENOUGH, you can get a shot at the remaining few slots that have not be sold out.

There are lots of hurdles and "bottlenecks" as they call it though.

Inspite of the rot in the recruitment process of government at all levels, there are still certain areas where they can't give out for favors, they need people really skilled! Who are well equipped to manage the other urchins they'll dash employment
