whoever think he is the African giant have all the rights to call him that, just like you have the right to believe that the above are bigger than him.

o puleaseeeeee stop this political correctness,abosi,eye service and lie rebranding.if there's anybody at all musical wise worth being called "African giant" it should be people like Bob Marley, Fela Kuti, lucky Dube or majek fashek and if I want to be gender sensitive I will add Angelique Kidjo or Asa

When you see people singing from their heart, singing with knowledge,depth, substance, foresight and vast knowledge of African challenges you will know compared to people singing for money and fame

The new generation singers that call themselves "African giant" or some funny/dreamy kind of names their own no pass "gimme that booty",whine for me,show me what you got ,dido lobo, Bobbi e jamilaya,tesojue,redi mo, Malo lo Omo toba'njo soapy ,mafoko e shemileshey and all those types of jargons.nothing meaningful or sensible

sista, you are right but, African giant is the name of his album, and so far as we know, he has the right to call his body of work whatever he desires. furthermore, kids today probably dont know any of the above artists you mentioned so "to them" the yeye artists of today may be considered "African giant"

i am not calling anybody African giant, but i am just telling the OP that anyone has the right to have their own opinion on who the greatest African artist is today. some will say A while others would say Z, and they would both be right..... to each their own views.
