What is soul? Is it the whole person or something inside of a person that survives after someone dies?
Only our Creator has the correct answer to that question, because he created us. At Genesis chapter 2:7, the Bible says "And the Lord God formed man out of the dust of the ground and he breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and the man came to be a living soul." So God gives man life, and when that life goes, we return to the dust, Genesis 3:19. Its just like a bulb supplied with electrical current glows and becomes bright. Once the current goes, it dims and goes off, Psalm 104:29,30. That breath from God is life, same life given to the animals, that is why the Bible equates humans to animals in that respect, Ecclesiastes 3:18-20. So, the man is the soul.
When a man dies the Bible says he becomes completely unconscious, he knows nothing again, he remains in the grave until the time God will resurrects him from the dead, Ecclesiastes 9:5,6,10. And that resurrection is still in the future.
Any idea that when one dies, something called soul leaves the man or survives death is to support the wrong idea in support of what Satan propagated when he told Eve "you will not surely die", Genesis 3:1-5. Meanwhile, God insists "you will surely die". Death is the opposite of life. If something goes out of man after death, then the man is not dead, part of him is still living. Shall we then conclude that God is a liar? NEVER MAY THAT BE SO.
So when we die, like this singer, we go back to the dust. We are the soul, not something inside us. Humans die today because we are all sinners and the Bible says the soul (or person) that sins will die, Ezekiel 18:4. It is therefore meaningless telling the dead "rest in peace". How? He is dead and knows nothing again, Ecclesiastes 9:5.

If you sit back and study this life carefully and just analyse all the events happening around you and around the world, you will realize that this life is predestined, there is little to nothing anybody living today can do to change their predestined life.


You would plan but at the end, your destiny decides your end result.


To those that will be rich, take it from me, how it would happen, you won't know, but whatever you are doing now, people may see it as being foolish, but if you are destined to be rich, that nonsense you are doing now, that yeye job or business you think you are doing now will take you to your place of glory.


I think and I believe the only choice humans have in this life to make is choice of God to serve, I maybe wrong too, but that's the only place I think humans have a say, but how you would die, when you would die, no human have a say about that, only our destinies determine how and when we will die.

Can I ask a question? please I need honest and realistic answers,why do humans feel their deaths are near and then they start to say things ordinarily they won't be saying.

It's really a mystery my dear. Some say maybe they're already seeing dead people they know, and perhaps, these dead guys are telling them to come over (that's what I've been hearing, donno how true tho). My granny lately have been mentioning something related to death consecutively and I had to caution her this morning because words are not meant for the physical realm only, they travel in the spiritual too. No wonder scriptures says " By thy words, you are either justified or condemned". Words are powerful. The earlier people understand, the better. Life and death is in the power of the tongues says scriptures.


Lately, I have come to an understanding that enforcement of words happens in the spirit before materializing in the physical.
