Same view here. Also he was having recurring injuries. But looking retrospectively, selling Gnabry was a huge mistake. Now we've had to pay 72m for Pepe.
I won’t call it a mistake cos we didn’t have the control unless we want to keep him against his wish. If we do he runs down his contract and leaves for free. He wanted a place he could enjoy play time and no top club even wanted him for such purpose meaning he wasn’t at that level yet for a top club hence he went to Werder Bremen.

Unless you have an idea of what Wenger could have done differently I won’t call it a mistake.

What position do you think willian should play next season?
IMO he's better as an AM than a winger
He should play LWF, let’s get a full fledged AM and a sweeper in DM.
I don’t want hybrid na there confusion dey start.

Yes now, that's why I said thinking retrospectively. Knowing what we know now, if we should go back in time, you wouldn't sell him. Or would you?

An AM is the same as an inverted winger. Same skill set but different applications.

It doesn’t work that way, it’s not a size fits all situation. if we didn’t sell to Werder Bremen, he could have been a bench warmer at Arsenal, which could have stunted his growth. Bayern might not have bought him then loaned him to Hoffenheim.

Remember he left Arsenal in 2016 a lot happened to his growth during the four year period. It’s not like he went to sleep and just hit the limelight like a flash.

If he left Arsenal say last season and he’s in this form today, I could have agreed it’s a mistake,

Manchester United to play Chelsea at old Trafford on October 24 before playing Arsenal the following weekend of October 31 at the same venue

After Sheffield is Manchester City, Leicester City and Manchester United respectively

That's why we need to grab anything between 8 and 12 points from those first four games.Anything less than that would put us under severe pressure going into the next four games.

I wouldn’t have sold him unless he forced it which he did.
I was not happy when he left but had to live with it as we couldn’t offer him playtime considering the squad we had then.

He had to do what was best for him.

If you see me fear go catch you to try kunk me.

Off course it was best for him. Players like him made Arsenal to include sell on clauses for the young players. At least to get something more when they hit.

That's why we have to deal wisely with guys like AMN, Saka, Martinelli, Smith-Rowe, Nketiah, Nelson, Willock and even Guendouzi.

There must be a sensible policy for releasing such players.

Nothing to deal with those ones, I like how you arrange them from good to bad

Emery constantly playing Willock didn't help the boy at all especially when you consider he is being made to fill a shoe that is bigger than his leg (Ozil). ..Nelson ,though inconsistent usually put up a GOOD performance each time he's given a chance..against Liverpool and FA cup.. We need to give him more game time to properly assess him..Had a sneaky feeling he might turn into another Gnabry.
As for Guen, his attitude and inconsistency is the problem but I mist confess
..The boy is good.

Fixtures looking interesting. Other than Liverpool, there's no reason we shouldn't have a good start to the season.

Unlike most, I scroll to the final 5-6 games of the season because results from these games could be the difference between a bad, average or successful season.

Everton
Newcastle
West Brom
Chelsea
Palace
Brighton

Good is mediocre to me, not too far from average. We had an average season this past season, only because we won the FA cup, other than that, it was a bad season.

If you take it in isolation, it was a good season as we won a trophy. If you link it with next season then you may say it's average because we won't be in the CL.

Nice one there. That's actually the time of the season where every single point and every single goal counts.

Nice Job with the ever busy Per Mertersacker on u23.

So Sanchez and Eriksen are the unlucky guys in football. Both left their respective clubs to "win trophies"

But 1 dey never see!!

If you hear Sanchez is coming back, will you agree? grin
