Unless the AC is only turned on when theres no cooking going on and there is no open flame from the stove or gas, which defeats the purpose of trying to use it to reduce heat while cooking.

This does the job perfectly without need for AC
What's that??

Did you indicate it in your initial post? No you didn't
commonsensically, it's usually washed, or boiled. So no need for explanation

Uziza is actually meant for pepper although I prefer nchawu.

Uziza goes with everything.
What is Nchawu?

You don't like Ugwu leaf?

I do, but ever since I discovered uziza in okra/ogbono- I haven’t gone back to ugu.

eni4real:

Scent leaf, Yorubas call it efinrin.

the final outcome is not looking appetizing, the ngwogwos don't blend with each other.
freshfish
okporoko
shrimp
small sliced kpomo
are OK
add uziza and cut ur okro into tiny sizes
use a lot of fresh pepper and good amount of freshoil
simple. enough of unnecessary tushing of ofe okwuru
Variety is the spice of life!! grin

Sometimes, you just want to feel like Aquaman or Aquawoman as the case may be.. Seafood style!

Pic 1: Fresh shrimps. The small one is N100, the big one is N200. I bought 3 @ N500

Pic 2: Crabs @ 6 for N500

Pic 3: Croaker fish. Didn’t bother asking how much. Just liked the view.

Pic 4: Tilapia fish. Bought 1 @ N1800. I priced her N1000 and she asked me in Yoruba “my daughter, have I annoyed you before?” grin grin I replied “rara Ma”, then she said, “price me well na” cheesy cheesy Anyway, I heard I can get it cheaper elsewhere, but I didn’t want to go far or to a crowded market. She cleaned it too, very nice women. cheesy

@ N500 for Six crabs? shocked Jesus! I bought over 13 crabs for just N100 some hours ago... cool

What will you have it with?

NL is messing with the clarity of my pictures! angry

I had to show my wife the condiments of your Seafood Okra.

Well, after the show, I told her the soup looks very good in pictures but the day i set my eyes on this soup is the last day I will eat Okra soup (No pun intended my sister).

I detest any thing living that is not fleshy or commonly eaten by almost everyone in the planet.

Call me a village man but I am limited to fish, beef, chicken, turkey, button, goat and the worst of me is pork.

I can't stand the smell of crayfish but will eat it if its mild and completely blended to powder. I ate periwinkles before but I didn't want to embarrass my host, he practically punished me.

People are different, I liked the colourful soup you've made and am sure those who won't mind will love it.

Sylve11, please tell him where you bought over 13 crabs for N100. That is a very cheap one.

I bought mine at Census market, Surulere.

You don't do 'commonsensically' while giving a cooking recipe. You have to explain all the processes because people are taking notes.

Did you say 'boil your bitterleaf and keep aside'? Or 'slice your already boiled bitterleaf'?

No. You said 'slice your bitterleaf and onions'. What impression does that give anybody reading your post?

If this was an exam you don score automatic F9.

Yes. Please, don't put potash in your foods because it's unhealthy to do it.

One more important thing is that as a pregnant Lady, you MUST ensure you cook all your foods, especially fresh foods thoroughly.
Thanks

No it is not. In fact, I had to reduce the seafood because it would have swallowed my N250 okra. Soups will look so not-put-together when they are cooked newly, as they cool the ingredients will interact and it’ll thicken. This applies to soups cooked with achi/ofo/cocoyam. Don’t always use their hot state to judge the thickness, it thickens as it cools.

It was too much and that wasn’t for me sef. Can you see the okra now? cheesy
