We put ourselves in this situation through our actions and inactions. A morally upright being would not think of fraud as his last or first option but alast the upbringing of our generation have moved from morality to getting it by every means.

There is no situation without a cause

Some youths won't take to crime if things were fine

We are the cause. A heart set on good, will not waiver no matter the gains evil rake in. This is just deflection. Even as bad as things are now, if u set up a provision store, you would feed comfortably. These youths who chose crime, decided to find a short cut/easy way out. The government may have played a part, but the citizenry(we) have failed respectively and woefully.

Most Nigerian ministries are messed up.
Some, no audit for the past 5 years. Audit that should occur quarterly.
My landlord, who is now a pensioner, with two houses in Lagos and Abuja said when he worked the the Nigerian Military are an internal auditor, whenever he goes to audit the top officers will call him into a room and give him an already prepared audit.
In his words, they'll say, " if you live yourself and your family, take this and go. "

Since he lives himself and his family he usually does exactly. And they always greased his palms abundantly.
grin
