huge sum if they want to seal the transfer
of Everton forward Richarlison this summer.
The Brazil international has shone in his
time in the Premier League and the Daily
Mirror note that Barcelona tried to sign him
by launching a £100million bid for his
services back in January.

Richarlison is now said to be valued at as
much as £143m, according to the Mirror, so
it won’t be cheap for Barca if they decide to
come back in for him this summer.
The Catalan giants could undoubtedly do
with making some changes up front after a
hugely disappointing 2019/20 campaign.
Quique Setien was recently sacked at the
Nou Camp after the club missed out on the
La Liga title, and were thrashed 8-2 by
Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Former Everton boss Ronald Koeman is now
in charge and could raid his old club for the
signing of Richarlison to replace struggling
attackers like Antoine Griezmann and
Ousmane Dembele.

Still, it remains to be seen if Barcelona can
realistically afford to splash out that much
money on one player at the moment.

If he remains with the team, no one can strip the captain armband from him. So for us to move forward as a club, I think it is in the interest of everyone if he leaves. The earlier we rid ourselves of his dependency, the better for the club. Last four years have been a disaster. We can't keep doing same thing while expecting different results.

But I have never heard, seen or thought that only the guy wearing the captains arm band is legally permitted to motivate a bunch of 10 other players when such is needed on the pitch.

If Messi failed to motivate them and then more vocal figures like Pique, Mascherano (then), Alba, Vidal, Suarez went on to yell, scream and gesticulate in motivation of the team mates, what's gonna happen?

They would be fined a week's wages by the club for motivating the team when Messi didn't?
Or the players are not gonna get motivated because he isn't with the arm band? Which?

Okay; The best player in the team by a very very very very very wide margin should be sold because he doesn't shout and scream on the pitch.

Are you guys not thinking of the grave consequences? We have a new Coach that has a bad track record, and you want to sell the only player that can drag a badly managed team to success or near success?

Is it not on this same thread that some of us are advocating for Busquets and Pique to stay at the club because of their experience, and you people really want Messi to leave?

Besides, why should we even strengthen another team with such a player?
Please you guys should weigh the advantages and disadvantages before making some decisions.

Messi needs motivation, something to get his footballing boots excited that's why he likely said he doesn't see himself in Barcelona next season. He should be a leader and sink with his ship or move to Italy the home of retired star players still seeking glory in Europe or USA

signing Messi would cost atleast £150m, forget he is 33years then paying him atleast £30m per year only Man City can pull this off, I would like to see Messi in EPL even just for 3 or 1 season
