What happened to Neymar? The failed to make it past the QF.

Now that PSG met rookies like Atalanta and Liepzig they have advanced beyond the QF.

Besides most of us here would be rooting for Neymar to win this UCL.



However all of my points about Messi for the past 2 weeks are clearly depicted in this PSG team.

*Thiago Sylva is hardly shouting about all over the pitch in the name of motivating his team even during the time they were losing to Atlanta for 89 minutes. Everyone never relented in putting in work; From Thiago to Neymar.

*Neymar has received very appreciable help from his team mates like Mbappe, De Maria and Marquinhos. For PSG would have crashed out already if they were all waiting for motivation and for Neymar alone to score the crucial QF and SF goals.

Thank you for bringing this up. This PSG is the perfect case study.

We have depended on Messi for far too long. He is 33. We no longer can. It is very obvious now. We need a good manager too who knows the club and can influence signings, not like a sitting duck like Valverde, who just sat their and had no input on who comes in or who goes. We all witnessed the transition from Ronaldinho to Messi.

Selling Messi is not the solution to the problem of Messi-dependency.


We saw how Neymar solved that problem.

We saw how Dembele was close to solving that problem but for injuries.

Like you said we need a good coach and we need a super signing in the mould of Mbappe, Neymar, De Bryune or Raheem Sterling.
Even Eden Hazard is suited to Barca's style.

I wish Dembele could overcome his injury woes and with a good coach we could solve that problem with Messi still in the team.


Griezman is not good enough to could solve that problem.

What are the odds of PSG beaten Bayern? I personally don't see any. Anyone with a different opinion?

Bayern are favourites but they keep a very high line, thus exposing their defence.

PSG has a good chance if Neymar and Mbappe can use counterattacks well and take their chances as they come.

You can't afford to miss chances against a deadly team like Bayern.

Against Chelsea, Barca and Lyon, Bayern's defense were repeatedly exposed anytime the opposing team attacked them.

Mbappe and Neymar are fast. My only fear is that Neymar loses a lot of chances.

The chances will come against Bayern. But, can PSG convert them?
