Pimpmaride:ipob is nothing but a pressure group ...they don't have arms ...world power don't recognize them as terrorist group ...they allow them meet ipob is standing up for the whole country ...we need to decide if we want Nigeria or not |

op, IPOB did not attack or kill anyone, they were just holding their Sunday worship when they were attacked. I'm surprised by the way Nigerians would come online to support the extra judicially killing of IPOB members but would wail and condemn the same action when it happens elsewhere in the country, the problem of Nigeria is not her leaders but the people. Unfortunately, i'm convinced that Nigeria would never get better, only worse.Don't be surprised that the policemen that killed these unarmed youths are indigenes of southern Kaduna or the middle belt Christian. |

IPOB should cease meeting for now! Buhari is a terrorist!!! No sane person will allow well trained military men to attack innocent civilians The world has noted this Don't give him an excuse to wipe out the Igbos out of vengeance!!! Ugwuanyi as the CSO of his state should put these useless DSS in their place!!! |

someone said the soldiers and ipobians were exchanging gunshots. So the two sides are both at fault though I will apportion more blame to the soldiers cos if they can apply this much force on ppl that are fighting for self determination and not the terrorism in the north, it shows then that there is an agenda against the ipob guys. |

While we may not have the power to ressurect those Igbo youths felled today by the murderous gang masquerading as Nigerian security agencies, we can at least not insult their memory by joining in peddling the iniquitous narrative that those unarmed youths were "KILLED IN A CLASH" with the security agents. When well armed security operatives drawn from the Police, the army, the Airforce and the DSS invade a sleepy village and start shooting live bullets at unarmed youths gathered for a meeting, you can't call it a clash. Who is clashing with who? How can it be termed "clash" when only one side is armed and it is that armed party that went to the venue of the unarmed party to murder them? Describing it as "CLASH" is as atrocious as describing the systematic genocide being visited on helpless Nigerians by the killer herdsmen as "Farmers-Herders clashes". The action of the Nigerian security agencies in Emene, Enugu today has a name. It is called state terrorism on defenceless citizens. And I think the Enugu state Police Commissioner needs to shut up and stop talking nonsense. His statement on the murder of those youths is beyond puerile. According to him, the DSS went to Emene for covert operation and they were abducted by IPOB members forcing the DSS to call the Police, Army and Airforce for help. Stupid story! In a country where hardened Boko Haram terrorists and killer herdsmen are being pampered and rewarded by the govt even when their victims yet languish in different IDP camps? How many covert operation has the DSS done to stop Bokoharam but has time for covert operations on harmless citizens meeting If we cannot stop this evil rain from falling, we should at least be able to take measures to stop ourselves from being beaten by it. |

Has anyone ever noticed that whenever there clash between IPOB and the authorities, the narrative of they authorities is "we were going on patrol when we were attacked by IPOB" Every time, the same story. This is what they said in 2017 when the Army declared IPOB a terrorist organisation. They said that they were on lawful patrol when IPOB descended on them. The same narrative was used by the Police last year when there was a clash with IPOB law9, Ifeanyi Ejiofor. Now the DSS have come up with a similar story. But one has only to think of this narrative for 5 minutes to see that it is the authorities that are lying. IPOB is not a group known to bare arms and there is very little record of them being violent. But what the authorities want people to believe is that when they are on patrol, IPOB will attack them? How would IPOB know they are on patrol and where to wait for them? What could IPOB possibly gain by attacking the security forces? If IPOB actually wanted to take up arms and fight Nigeria in the name of Biafra, why would they only be attacking the authorities when they are on patrol? Does that make any sense? Why would IPOB only be attacking when yhe authorities are armed, on patrol and alert? Wouldn't it make more sense for IPOB to attack when the authorities are not alert just like Boko haram does? Which terrorist group in the world only waits until the authorities go on patrol before they attack? Everybody knows the truth. IPOB is an unarmed group and the authorities are simply killing them for that reason. The DSS wabts us to believe that they were 9n patrol on a Sunday morning in Emene Enugu? Since when did the DSS start going patrol like Police? Patrol of what? This is how the Army claimed in 2017 that they were on patrol and IPOB blocked the road and attacked them with sticks and stones. Which civilian would see a platoon of Soldiers moving guns and tanks then decide to block their way and attack them with sticks? Not even someone high on drugs would do that. They are just killing unarmed people and using stupid cover stories to hide it |

Pimpmaride:DSS is the wrong party here. IPOB don't carry weapons and has no history of attacking security outfit. It has always been the other way round. Shooting unarmed protesters has always been the bread and butter of Nigerian security forces. That's is what they are very good at. They don't seem to know other ways of dispersing protesters and other peaceful gathering than show of force. Those DSS personnel responsible for killing unarmed civilians need to be arrested and prosecuted to provide deterrence. Provoking another crisis in already crisis ridden country is not wise move. Or is the DSS now peopled by nitwits? |

kingzizzy:We need to correct this narrative. We need to report it clearly and correctly. For example, on my forum it is described as what it is: 'Nigerian police shoots unarmed protesters' That's the title we should be using to promote the stories. It's an assault by security operatives against protesters. We refuse the narrative of the police. |
