IyienuMission Hospital celebrated 110 yrs anniversary 2018
Unfortunately there is no legacy building from that era, maintained excellently to be functional still.
What a loss and wasted opportunity for historical continuity.
So sad.

When churches were missions, and not businesses in disguise.

Missionary schools, missionary hospitals, missionary skills workshops, missionary Village outreaches, etc.

That's is why, when it comes to church, if it is not Othodox, count me and my family out.

The oldness of the hospital is not apparent in any of the pictures shared.
No structure/building indicates its oldness and that is sad.
Not even framed pictures of the old building(s) before they were destroyed. Tragic!

This is what African traditional religion could not do for us.
Missionaries brought, not only religion but education, good health care, abolished slave ownership, stopped the killing of twins, built good roads and bridges, demystified witches and wizards by treating sicknesses and diseases attributed to them.
For those of you calling Christianity a white man's religion, I have a question for you.
How was African traditional religion benefiting us before Christianity was introduced?

i know i will build a mult-mega hospital in my village in Anambra state and name it in memory of my father.

It will be totally free!

i have been working on the design of this hospital in my mind for the past one year - the hospital will span a land space of 100 hectares.

I will invite Japanese medical consultants to partner with me in providing hospital equipment for the hospital.

To make sure the hospital lasts till time indefinite, i will partner with the catholic church to provide medical personnel as well as manage the hospital 80%. they will only sign documents assuring me they will not change the name of the hospital.

The Maternity and Children care unit will be name after my mother.

the hospital will be so huge and will have experts in various health fields especially, heart, lungs, brain, and bones.

The hospital will be known for compassionate treatment of patients - not the kind of inhumane treatments we get from our hospitals these days.

people will come from various parts of Nigeria and beyond to get treated for free no matter how expensive the treatment is.

I plan to apportion 90% of my wealth to go to the funding of the hospital - it will work it in such a way that even when am no more, the hospital will stay comfortably afloat. the funds will be managed by reputable foreign funds managers that will make sure their is sufficient funds to mange the hospital indefinitely.

i will also create avenues for international donors to keep funds coming for the up of the hospital.

i know will achieve this before i die.

That makes christianity a social organization. Why should it be equated with a spiritual-cultural one. Should religion run the government as well now?

The place where Iyienu mission hospital was situated belongs to Ozeh, Nkwelle Ezunaka in Oyi LGA of Anambra State according to history and not Ogidi in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State.
The public should not be misled.
Anyone in doubt should visit the archives for clarification

Do you know what it means to own a hospital that is totally free. Unless you are bill gates that is impossible.

Christianity is a spiritual organization.
True Christianity addresses every aspect of life be it spiritual, social, wellbeing, health.
The social aspect is just a part of, not the whole of Christianity.

A very valid example that we can also sustain and maintain our assets if we really want to.
However, why is it that every new public building in Nigeria is described as Ultra-modern ? I wish these title givers would stop and check the true meaning of that term.

That atheist and LGBT community are making plenty noise doesn't mean the US and GB don't serve GOD.
I also fault the Nigerian way of substituting preparations with prayers.
God does not bless laziness.
We should learn to have the fear of God and be excellent in we do.
