FC. Barcelona went ahead to buy him, even at a point when most clubs would have nothing to do with him (the biting saga). He has indeed rewarded the club by performing exceptionally well.

However, he's fast declined, any true Barca fan would see that. When Messi has an 'off day', he doesn't rise to the occassion most of the time. Not to talk of missing chances that he would bury with his eyes closed when he was in his prime. Those who want him to stay are non-fans who don't even watch FCB matches often, or at all.

It has been a mutually benefitting bromance between him and the club but this is not the time to dwell on the past with nostalgia. He has to go, for a younger, in form striker to take the mantle.

Let's be frank, law of nature had caught up with many of Barca players. Barcelona is a team with very high expectations, you cant have this kind of team and perform brilliantly against younger and highly motivated team in Europe.
It's time for overhaul in Camp Nou.

According to reliable Catalan radio station RAC1, Koeman has informed Luis Suárez that he isn’t part of his plans for next season.

Suárez scored 21 goals in all competitions in 2019/20 but the striker is now 33 and Koeman will be planning more long-term with his side.

With a 32-year-old Lionel Messi indispensable, there isn’t room for another ageing forward.

The report claims Barcelona could even be willing to terminate Suárez’s contract, which is set to expire in 10 months.

The Uruguayan has been linked with ex-club Ajax, where he scored 111 goals in 159 appearances before joining Liverpool in January 2012.

I do not feel the urge to type for so long, but when Guardiola came In 08/09 he only sold Ronaaldinho and Deco, but he also had the vastly experienced duo of Xavi and Iniesta, and then there was the emergence of the irrepressible Lionel Messi. Suffice to say that there was already so much on ground. He only just moved on the older generation.

Same cannot be said for Koeman today. If Pique goes, who cordinates the defence? Messi and Suarez contributed more than half of Barcelona's goals this past season, and you just want to sell them ? Where will your goals then come from ? Who will anchor the midfield as well as Sergio?

Well, you could say they have money and could make a splash in the transfer market, but these new players would need time to settle. In that time we are waiting for them to settle, things could horribly go wrong. Case study, Man united post Ferguson era.

No, he didnt. Infact he only let Deco and Ronaldinho go. Players like Samuel Eto'o Xavi , Iniesta, Puyol, Valdes etc were still very much active. Infact, eto was so active that season that he was la liga highest goal scorer.

Gradually, Pep started to build his team around Messi, but he didnt just start tossing old guards aside
