it could be much or less. No one can tell - custom charge isn't fixed

Just did my usual round of "hopeful tracking checking" and i saw that one of the orders i placed has arrived. The first order is the most important cos it's a phone. The second is the pouch for the phone. Wish it was the phone that arrived.
But damn...I'm just happy i don't have to wait 120 days

Please I'll like to know, concerning our Nigerian issued debit cards, will it be ok to add either a friend or Maybe a brother's card on AliExpress to shop. Will our Nigerian bank consider it a breach of our card contract and can it affect our orders in AliExpress on the long run maybe in terms of refund from dispute. I have exhausted my monthly dollar cap for my card and Coupons are waiting to be used. Thanks

There is a percentage of the cost price of the item that customs usually calculate, that will be your payable duty. I can't really remember the percentage now but people here will help.

The price of the item will be written on the package by the seller so the customs use it to do their calculation.

Now not paying the duty thing is sometimes a thing of luck. As per phones, laptops, tablets etc, the officers are usually eagle-eyed on those so with such items there is 90% chance that you will be taxed, there is of course a 10% that you will escape; note my deliberate use of the word escape.

Besides, shoes and clothes, maybe not wrist watches, are part of items in the restricted importation list even though that doesn't mean you can't bring 'em in. But with the unreasonable peculiarities of things Nigerian which the customs is part of, you may be taxed or worse an insane or greedy officer may decide to have them seized espevially if the items are beautiful and expensive. Of course you know that ends as his personal belongings.

Tell the shipper to reduce the actual cost.
It may or may not help. But the custom duty varies between 10% to as much as 20%.

Summary, duty in Nigeria is R.A.N.D.O.M
