Hope you know about Suku Bond, that is infrastructure bond. PMB has not borrowed Pension Fund and there is nothing wrong with Pension industry. As a matter of fact ,that industry is one of the most regulated industry in Nigeria.

Certainly there has been leadership failure at all levels but this failure was not on account of age; the founding fathers were not old men when they entered leadership. Gowon and Ojukwu and the people surrounding them were very young men in 1966.

Everyone young and old must own our failures through act or omission. Fela Durotoye stood in the last election and the young did not vote for him - rather they voted their tribal prejudices.

We are our own worst enemies - listen to the conversations here on NL - one can see that the tribal prejudices of the Fathers multiplied in the children.

Is he a contributory pension retiree - post 2004 - or he retired in the old scheme - pre 2004.

This news affects the earlier group.

The later group have collected thier gratuities and are being paid monthly pension.

My Dad's is post 2004 yet neither Pension nor Gratuity has been paid since 2017.
