A fruitless attempt at reconciling the teachings and promises of your holy book with your observed reality. What will it cost you to concede that your holy book and your god's existence are incompatible with reality, especially with the suffering, fortune, and possible courses of human life? Must there be a god to worship and attribute creation to?

Instead of attributing the discrepancies between your observed reality and holy book to some divine transcendental plan, why not just admit that your holy book and god are just scams that have no bearing in practice? Will you die if you ask the right questions and challenge your beliefs (which have no evidence or basis in reality)? Even the little children that were raped by pastors and catholic priests? Even the people who are rotting in jail for crimes they never committed? What about the believers who died untimely from cancer and other terminal disease? It's early to interpret other people's suffering, demise and adversity as god's plan or lack of faith/righteousness/prayer until you are at the receiving end of such adversities. It's selfish even though it helps you and other believers cope with the ambivalence. Many christians who had the fortitude (or perhaps, stupidity) to believe in faith healing considered the christians who succumbed to cancer and other terminal illnesses to be devoid of strong faith until they got their "fare" share of illnesses and realised that no matter how strong one's faith is, there if no divine intervention coming from anywhere to abate one's adversities.

You need to ask yourself "what is that necessary thing an omnipotent and omniscient god cannot achieve without the death of a mother and a one-year-old child?" What's that necessary thing god can't achieve without the immense suffering and injustice seen in human life? Couldn't your god have orchestrated the apprehension of the "yahoo boy" without the death of that mother and child? To what end is all this? Food for thought.

Why give an unarmed civilian a hot chase in broad daylight?
Reminds me of the day these Police guys chased a bus I boarded traveling early this year, the pursuit was no different from what Highway Robbers do.
Scared me to death that night, it was traumatic for everyone on that bus.
