Insidenaija:
Lagos state governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu today, visited site of the helicopter crash at Opebi for an on-the-spot to sympathize with the families of the victims.

Sanwo-Olu said he met with the residents of the buildings, thanked God for his abiding grace.

He orded an immediate integrity test conduct on both of the affected buildings to know the level of impact, and plegde to renovate them and provide all the necessary support to cushion the effects of this tragic incident .

In his words:

I was at the site of the helicopter crash at Opebi for an on-the-spot assessment. We sincerely sympathize with the families of the victims. I met with the residents of the buildings and we all thanked God for his abiding grace.

I have ordered an immediate integrity test conduct on both of the affected buildings to know the level of impact. We are taking on the responsibility of renovations and will provide all the necessary support to cushion the effects of this tragic incident .

That pilot was the hero of this year for now, he prevented a catastrophe. God bless you and I hope you made heaven.

Our urban centres lacks adequate town planning. People putting up buildings any how and of whatever design.

That's why when you see a well planned estate and cities, navigating through is always easy. Our govt should emulate the west by being the centre of housing development and issuing guidelines for people to follow

While this is a welcome development, I wonder why the owners of the helicopter are not the ones doing the renovation because this is where insurance comes in. What the Government provides should be an added advantage and the Airline and not the Government should be the one bankrolling all of these damages especially as they pay insurance premium andwe are in a capitalist society.

That's how a good government should do to their citizens. You reach out and visit to them in the time of trouble, and make a difference, not audio promises.

Why should the State renovate the building? Is the helicopter not insured? If the aircraft is not insured, the state should go after the owners and operator to ensure they renovate the building while also trying them for the crime if not carrying insurance
