Let him show you his own blog,let him use Google analytics or other tool to show you how many visits he gets, Google the topics on his blog and see if they will show up on first few Google search pages.

Hello. Although you acted in the best interest of the person who created the thread but ended up maligning our business and implying what it is not.

For the record, not everyone who works in the SEO industry must own a blog. And I am not referring to accidental SEO specialists who think owning a blog and writing posts is SEO.
