It is too late when the head is off. Osimhen has signed for another team and no need for any form of reverse thinking here.

Btw:

Baca cannot sign osimen yet. He still moving up the ranks.

Let him prove himself at a much higher level as Napoli and seria A. If he is consistent enough then baca can come for him. All the hype is not hype enough for a baca standard.

If not for the fact that he would get more playing time at Napoli, I would have preferred him joining the Catalan Giants knowing how silly some Italian fans can be with their unceasing racist tendencies.

A fantastic player that could have Idolize Samuel Eto'o.... Ronald Koeman would have been a better Coach to work with tactically and otherwise, Not the aggressive Genaro Gattuso.

I wish you well Victor.
U may not be incorrect, irrepective of the racism experienced there, that move to napoli is the best else the chap may end up like Mikel who eyed money first rather than developmental football that would have fetched him bigger money and bigger fame in the long run. That guy will be given plenty playing time which is good for his development. Good luck to him

Osimhen will make first choice and team striker in any of the following clubs:

Barcelona (No contest)
Manchester United
Liverpool
Rangers (Scotland)
RB Leipzig
Etc...

In the first 3 above, he will easily score 20 in a season!!! This is not open for arguments please!!!

Re: Calenda Claims Barcelona Wanted Osimhen To Replace Suarez by Nobody: 1:54pm On Sep 01, 2020
Barcelona must go for young under 25 talented players, that is what will save their team.

Not fighting for a 33 year old to stay with them.

They need 3 minimum strikers and 2 defenders. With a good coach.

Wanted Osimhen for Liverpool.

Good thing. It never happened right now. Go to Napoli and flourish there. Bigger clubs will be fighting for you and a first team shirt will be sure for him. Look at Ighalo getting benched by Greenwood. Lol

It is better the guy stays in Napoli where it has been shown that he is needed rather than a club which has been unsettled by Bayern and having a very vague decision on its players.

Osimhen to replace Suarez?
Has Suarez gone or been sold outta Barca?
What if eventually Suarez isn’t sold and have to run out his contract with Barcelona, what will be Osimhen’s fate?

It is better for Osimhen to remain in Napoli where he is needed than in Barcelona where it isn’t clear if he is wanted.
For a female, I am impressed about your knowledge about the round leather game.

All these time he was available for transfer... You didn't bid or agree personal terms with him.... Barcelona board and been clueless about running and managing the club is like 5 and 6....if Bayern Munich hadn't beaten black and blue outta us... We will still be looking for Suarez's replacement

Lautaro Martinez is available.... Go for him and stop looking for his replacement

That's another Argentine player that looks destined for greatness

[quote author=robosky02 post=93450542]Calenda claims Barcelona wanted Osimhen to replace Suarez

The Nigerian striker was courted by some of Europe’s big guns before settling for the Partenopei, according to his management
Roberto Calenda, a member of Victor Osimhen’s management team, has claimed prior to the Nigerian signing for Napoli, Barcelona were interested in bringing him in place of unsettled striker Luis Suarez.

The 21-year old sealed a five-year deal believed to be worth up to €80 million from Lille and will be expected to deliver, having netted 18 competitive strikes last term in France.

Osimhen made an impression by scoring a hat-trick and providing an assist in an 11-0 friendly win over Italian fourth division side L’Aquila during a training camp at Castel di Sangro last Friday.

Suarez’s future at Camp Nou is currently up in the air as he is reportedly not keen to continue at the club and new Blaugrana boss Ronald Koeman does not want him.

"I usually never talk about these things, out of respect for professionalism and the club. It is right that Napoli say things as they went, they are the main players,” Calenda told Radio Marte.

“I can say that it was a well-conducted negotiation by the parties, we started from a distance. The signing took place with constant communication and we were good at keeping track of it.

“[It was a] difficult operation, Tottenham and Liverpool wanted Osimhen until the end, even Barcelona initially wanted him instead of Suarez. Napoli, however, did everything. They wanted him and took him."

However, Goal understands Barcelona were only tracking the progress of Osimhen, and he was never a real target to make a bid.

From Liverpool, Goal understands Jurgen Klopp was not interested in Osimhen because of the high price of the Nigerian. Earlier this year, the Reds were looking to strengthen their options from the bench when the likes of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah were not available. Liverpool eventually brought in Takumi Minamino in January.

Napoli boss Gennaro Gattuso had previously stated that Osimhen needs time to gel with his team as he is not a Maradona kind of signing and these same thoughts were reflected by Calenda.

"The boy [Osimhen] is an exemplary professional, very serious and very serene. This is important when you get to teams where there have been players who have made football history,” he continued.

“The coach's [Gattuso] words are right: you have to wait and give him time because he comes from far away, he must adapt to our championship and our customs. But without a shadow of a doubt he has great talent and I am sure he will prove it because he has some important characteristics."

Osimhen is no doubt a talented footballer this is someone who currently holds the world record in the under 17 category as the highest goal scorer.
