God has nothing to do with it.

Yes I said it! God has nothing to do with road accidents, or mishaps like this.

Since I came to this abroad, I have not seen a single accident, as in bash or kiss my motor type of accident, let alone the one involving lose of lives. And these people are no where close to Nigerians when it comes to religion. Road accidents are preventable, it just takes effectively implemented laws and heavy punishments for defaulters, everyone would sit up and watch as such accidents wld cease happening.

But we, Nigerians, keep allowing people with no license to take cars into the road, if they are caught they can bribe their ways out of it; and people can enter the road with any car they like whether it is road worthy or not and drive anyhow they like. Yet we call God for protection and thank him when he has already given us the power as humans to avoid such things.

Oyibo wey no dey get accident like dis wey trailer go fail brake run into shops or pack okada people wey dey wait for traffic light........dem no get two head.
Do you mind black monkeys? These trucks have been condemned since in the western world because they're not road worthy anymore then Africans bring it down to their country with the hope that God will help protect them from accidents.
Biggest joke ever.

Don't mind the stupid Nigerian mentality. Everything is attributed to divine intervention. There is nothing like that. If the government fails to do what they are supposed to do, the result is what you see.

I never prayed for God's protection throughout my stay in UK as I was secured. I travelled a lot of times from my base in Scotland to London for job interviews by Megabus or train, sometimes at night and arrived safely as the roads were safe and drivers sane.

Religion is taken the continent backwards.

BEWARE!!
These are signs of end times
Brothers and sisters, the trumpet can sound at anytime.
Your own trumpet could be by physical death or when the trumpet sounds and the saints are taken up to heaven with the Bride of Heaven.

Make your life right with your maker. Tomorrow may be too late.
Jesus Christ is calling. Please do not harden your heart like Pharaoh.
Live a holy life that the Almighty would approve of.

I hope no one was seriously injured. God save us all
grin grin grin grin
Since when did jesus became lord?

Bros, until our purchasing power goes up we will have to make do with old used trucks from abroad. To buy a proper new mack, daf, iveco etc truck you need close to $100k apart from shipping and duty. Which haulage owner can afford that, and how much will he charge to be able to maintain and replace them? Even the china trucks that were affordable before, only dangote can buy them now. He is not even buying European trucks again.

Me I bought a truck from UK years back. It had valid UK MOT. After the truck used our diesel for 1 month, I had to change the common rail nozzles, after 3 months I had to change the engine to a manual injector engine that can use our so called "diesel".
After the truck plyed apapa road for 4 months, I could not recognize the truck again! It looked like scap. I sold it off.
As for naija now, we have to make do with the worst and hope the economy gets better. The alternative is not to move goods around.

Sometimes things just happen and couldn't be prevented. However, I would still see if the driver was drunk/on his phone/tired, and if the truck owner/company did proper maintenance on it. Because...
