Please I want to know what documents you submitted to convince the visa officer that you will return home and what is the minimum amount to have in your account?

If the Spouse is already a PR/Citizen, it's much easier and I don't think you need to go through the TRV route here (unless you want to) or I'm missing a clause here?

A PR/Citizen can sponsor their spouse to become a PR. You just need all the right documentations to show the relationship, and the spouse needs to also show that they can support their spouse when he/she arrives.

The spouse in Canada is the one that needs to do more of the convincing (especially when it comes to finances/sponsoring). But if you're looking to return, then you on your end can submit documents that shows ties to your home country like job details, assets, family etc.

The caveat here is, spousal PR sponsorship is a longer route, (you may already know) compared to a TRV, could take up to a year to complete.

When did you complete the upfront medicals? It usually takes about a week or more for it to reflect on your CIC portal. Covid could also be a factor here. (causing the delay)

Hello House, if your kids are US Citizens and you want to apply for tourist visa, do you have to fill in your forms that the children will be traveling with you. Or you just apply alone as they will not be needing a Visa.

2. Can you ask a friend who is a Student to give you invitation letter, I do not intend to stay behind. I want to apply now against summer next year. Italy first time applying to Canada. Please do you advice I ask my friend for a letter or I just make hotel reservations.

1. Yes, you'd still need to mention that you're traveling with your kids. Though they won't be needing the visa like you mentioned. There's a drop down that allows you select that option. (no visa required)

2. You can apply for a visiting visa without an invitation letter from anyone as long as you have a well documented itenary and sufficient proof that you'll be returning to your home country. However asking your friend for an invitiation letter is also not a bad idea. He/she has to be able to also show proof of financial support in terms of housing and feeding, and also in case anything happens. So again, either works, one just might be faster/have better chances than the other.

March is a long time ago. I am guessing you're in Nigeria and your visa is being processed in Nairobi? Have you tried sending CIC Nairobi an email?

You also already answered yourself by saying GCMS file. Yes you could request for that as well to know the status of your file. Bear in mind that it takes about 30 days to process.

Oh that's still really within range. I wouldn't worry about it, especially since Covid has increased their AHT.

You can write to them though if you're worried, but bear in mind this is upfront medicals, so they're likely still reviewing your application. Which means, either ways, your profile will be updated with the medicals result eventually.

Also, why not call the hospital to ask if they've sent it to CIC? And get details like when exactly they sent it.

Please can someone help with a sample Itenery you used. I am interested in Ontario or Toronto as it's my first time in Canada. Though I have friends but will like to Make Hotel reservation at least will show I will come back.

Also, please can I apply alone as traveling alone with the kids (2) without Hubby to show strong ties of coming back. I will really like to visit friends as I don't know my way around, do I have to take invitation from the friend for the days I will visit them, in another province.

Please house advice, all these rejections are scaring me.

To answer your 2nd question,

Yes, your husband is a very strong tie. So you can apply with your kids, and state that you all are coming back to your husband after the visit.

Also, you dont need to take letter of invitation from multiple friends, even if you plan visiting multiple provinces, CIC doesn't really care. The important thing is showing proof that you can take care of your trip. (If your arrival and departure flight is same airport, that will also save some story in your letter of explanation). Moreover, your visa will cover the entire country. I hope this helps.

Notification that they gotten my passport back from IRCC.

Later got mail that I will get my package through their courier.

I filled their attached form for courier and paid the required fee of #10,150.

Now expecting the package.

Having valid US Visa is not automatic approval for Canada Visa. I once experienced that too. Canada only honoured a used America Visa. I will advise you visit US first and when returned you resubmit application definitely you get your Visa.

Using a US visa does not also guarantee a Canadian visa. I have legitimately been to over 12 countries including US and was denied a visit visa to Canada. I wrote a strongly worded mail to them and requested for GCMS notes. They wrote back and apologized and promised to prioritize my application next time and ensure a different set of visa officers attend to my application next time. I can bet there was a mix up with my application. My view is that there is no straight jacket approach to this Canada visa thing. Just put up a tight application and hope for the best.
